NBC has decided to pre-empt Chase once again but this time it’s looking a lot more permanent. The network has put the TV series on hiatus and replaced it with episodes of Minute to Win It. Though the network has not officially cancelled Chase, there’s certainly no compelling reason for NBC to bring it back.
Back in September, Chase debuted to mediocre ratings and things went quickly downhill from there. On Monday nights, Chase averaged just a 1.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic and a meager 5.44 million viewers. When the series moved to Wednesday nights for the new year, the ratings only got worse. It’s currently the lowest-rated scripted series on the network.
NBC pre-empted Chase this week and replaced it with a double dose of Minute to Win It. That move paid off with the game show literally doubling the demo performance of Chase’s last original episode. Not surprisingly, NBC has now bumped the remaining episodes of Chase from the schedule.
The peacock network had given the show a full season order back in October but by December had trimmed that back from 22 to 18 installments. There are currently five unaired episodes of Chase on the shelf and there’s no word from NBC on when or if they’ll ever be aired.

We really liked Chase. NBC didn’t give it much of a chance. We don’t watch the realty shows – each one is more stupid than the last! I guess I’ll just read more and watch TV less!

Oh, I really love this show and so does my husband!!! If NBC would quit moving things around and letting a show gain some viewers, they would be much better off! This is getting ridiculos – First, Friday Night Lights, now this.
NBC IS UNBELIEVABLE, NOBODY WANTS TO WATCH GAME SHOWS OR REALITY SHOWS. JUST WHEN YOU START TO REALLY LIKE A SERIES, THEY TAKE IT OFF THE AIR. THEY SHOULD REALLY GET THE INCOMPEDENT PEOPLE OUT OF THEIR NETWORK AND START DOING WHAT THE CONSUMERS AND TV VIEWERS LIKE.

You have GOT to be KIDDING ME! Cancel Chase? Seriously? This is DEFINITELY one of the top 3 shows on NBC! The plots are GREAT. The acting is GREAT. Cancel this show and NBC goes down as WHACK in my book. KEEP CHASE ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chase was one of my favorite shows. I can’t believe they cancelled it. They don’t have anything else on their line up that I watch. Guess I have another reason not to watch anything on NBC.

I cannot Chase has been cancelled! Our entire family-parents and 17 yr son-loved this show. Give it a chance before canceling it.
Bring Chase Back. It was the only show we watched on NBC on Monday Nights. When it switched to Wednesday, Midweek Church night, we always recorded to watch later. We do not usually watch NBC but this show was great. I do enjoy Minute to Win It but prefer Chase. Guess we will go back to CBS. Everytime we get a decent show on the air without a lot of sexual inuendo, foul language and such, you yank it. Please clean up your network and maybe more people will turn to your shows.

I really like chase; my whole family does. We really like the chemistry of all the actors together on the show. I’m impressed with the Annie frost character–excellent acting talent.

I agree 100% why is it that all the good shows get cancell and the crap one stays on. Who does the rating anyway, I have never been ask what shows I watch. I am tired of somebody that like crap shows getting to pick what I watch
We think that it sucks! This network sucks! Every time we get interested in a show that this network airs they cancel it. It happened with life and now it is happening with Chase. Not everyone in America wants to watch a stupid reality show. I am now considering barring NDC from my household! Hope they like not having any show with good ratings!
