NBC has decided to pre-empt Chase once again but this time it’s looking a lot more permanent. The network has put the TV series on hiatus and replaced it with episodes of Minute to Win It. Though the network has not officially cancelled Chase, there’s certainly no compelling reason for NBC to bring it back.
Back in September, Chase debuted to mediocre ratings and things went quickly downhill from there. On Monday nights, Chase averaged just a 1.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic and a meager 5.44 million viewers. When the series moved to Wednesday nights for the new year, the ratings only got worse. It’s currently the lowest-rated scripted series on the network.
NBC pre-empted Chase this week and replaced it with a double dose of Minute to Win It. That move paid off with the game show literally doubling the demo performance of Chase’s last original episode. Not surprisingly, NBC has now bumped the remaining episodes of Chase from the schedule.
The peacock network had given the show a full season order back in October but by December had trimmed that back from 22 to 18 installments. There are currently five unaired episodes of Chase on the shelf and there’s no word from NBC on when or if they’ll ever be aired.

I LOVE CHASE BUT, I THINK NBC MOVED IT AROUND TO MUCH AND THEREFORE LOST VIEWERS. I LOVED THE SHOW FROM THE BEGINNING BUT, COULD NOT RELIE ON THE SCHEDULE. I AM NOW CATCHING EPISODES ON DEMAND…. MAYBE TNT SHOULD PICK IT UP LIKE THEY PICKED UP SOUTHLAND AND NOW IT’S A HIT SHOW,
I think that Chase is one of the best show I have seen in a very long time. Please do not cancel the show, I look forward to watching the show, after a long hard day at work.
My family caught onto Chase a little late, but we love the show!! It can’t be cancelled, it is a good show, good cast and good stories. We don’t need anymore reality shows and we don’t like Minute to Win It. PLEASE DON’T CANCEL CHASE!!!!!
Oh man~~!!! I love Chase, why are they cutting it short???!! so disappointed that it only got 18eps, even more disappointed that there may not be a Season 2. why is that??
Please don’t cancel Chase. The show is great. Why are the networks putting crap/reality TV shows on. Crap. Seriously. You guys are idiots for cancelling this show. Get a clue. At least make sure you release season 1 on DVD. But, don’t cancel this show. Come on perhaps a more decent network will pick up the show!!!
Is NBC crazy? this is a great show and should be showcased and given a better and regular time slot to give it a fighting chance.
NBC do NOT cancel Chase….it is a great and realistic show. My husband & I love the characters & plots. Maybe it needs more promomotions!

I love Chase!! I have a DVR so to me it doesn’t matter what night it is on. I was really getting into the characters and I love the spicy little love lives developing. Please bring back Chase.
Dont cancel this show its good…. but if it has to be at least show the last 5 episodes. cant just leave us hanging. enough with the stupid reality shows…

I’m Thomas from Denmark, and i would like to emphasize that “Chase” is one of the best american shows. Please don’t stop the show, it will only bring no good. “Chase”, is the only tv-show, that we are talking about in Denmark right now. Or at least in between my freinds and I. Hope you would make a season 2, or at least air the last five episode.
We love all the characters on Chase. We love the action, the story lines. We watch “Covert Affairs,” but Anne Walker does not compare to Anne Frost. Please, please bring Chase back. We actually go over to a friend’s house and watch it every week on their DVR.
