NBC has decided to pre-empt Chase once again but this time it’s looking a lot more permanent. The network has put the TV series on hiatus and replaced it with episodes of Minute to Win It. Though the network has not officially cancelled Chase, there’s certainly no compelling reason for NBC to bring it back.
Back in September, Chase debuted to mediocre ratings and things went quickly downhill from there. On Monday nights, Chase averaged just a 1.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic and a meager 5.44 million viewers. When the series moved to Wednesday nights for the new year, the ratings only got worse. It’s currently the lowest-rated scripted series on the network.
NBC pre-empted Chase this week and replaced it with a double dose of Minute to Win It. That move paid off with the game show literally doubling the demo performance of Chase’s last original episode. Not surprisingly, NBC has now bumped the remaining episodes of Chase from the schedule.
The peacock network had given the show a full season order back in October but by December had trimmed that back from 22 to 18 installments. There are currently five unaired episodes of Chase on the shelf and there’s no word from NBC on when or if they’ll ever be aired.

I would really appreciate it if you keep chase on air since this is a very good show and should be aired for those who enjoy watching it.
NBC needs to get their **** together. Chase is getting cancelled, The event was cancelled. Hereos was cancelled so quickly. All these fantastic shows cancelled in the middle of the season. I finally find shows that are interesting to watch , then this happens. Come on NBC, start competing with the crap shows that are reality tv. I don’t watch crap tv, so bring back these good shows….
Chase was the only show I watched on NBC. They never had anythimg good to watch.

NBC what are you thinking? Exactly why do you have to cancel a really great show? We may not be in the target group that you were looking for, but we enjoyed this show immensely. Bad Move!!!!!
I loved watching this show. It had real scenarios and lots of drama content. If I wasn’t home at the time the show was aired I had it DVR’d so I wouldn’t miss an episode. I agree with earlier comments of NBC always cancelling the wrong shows. Chase is one of the tv shows that NBC should have kept in their line up. Maybe NBC will become a station that I will drop from my cable company then I won’t have to worry about them cancelling the shows that should be kept!!!!
loved the show me and my friend would sit up and watch the show every week and if we were not home it was DVRed .i cant believe that it had that low of a rating i miss it lucky for me i have old episodes on the DVR and can still watch them
OF COURSE NBC ALWAYS cancels the good shows and puts more CRAP on like “Minute to win it!”
My husband and I are big fans of all the police dramas on tv. Chase quickly be Me our favorite!!! We are very disappointed that NBC would pull it from the air! If you ask me it was a big mistake. We were never able to watch the show at it’s original viewing slot because of our baby but it was always dVRed…hope that did lower the viewing numbers 🙁
Absolutely love this show. I think maybe there are too many police type shows on though. Although i think it is one of the best. Don’t care much for other NBC shows, so maybe i’ll just not watch them altogether. Bad move on you’re part NBC. Maybe you should be pre-empted!

We want to know, why is it, the shows we like usually get cancelled? We really liked ‘Chase’ but now it doesn’t look good for a return. Maybe, we should “axe” NBC out of our viewing schedules.
