What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the OWN cable channel, Cherish the Day is created and produced by Ava DuVernay. The show revolves around a different couple each season and each episode spans a single day. The first season stars Xosha Roquemore, Alano Miller, and Cicely Tyson, with Michael Beach, Anne-Marie Johnson, and Kellee Stewart in recurring roles. Gently James (Roquemore), a well-traveled caregiver from the West Adams district, and software engineer Evan Fisher (Miller) have a chance meeting and fall in love in Los Angeles.

Please bring Evan and Gently back. No other couple, please. Their chemistry was awesome. Love the music as well. Please don’t keep us waiting too long. Can’t wait for season 2, 3, 4… etc.
Love the chemistry of this show between Evan and Gently. Couldn’t wait for Tuesday’s to get here to watch.. Also love the soundtrack to the series. Not a lot of “black” love on television. Always shows with drama. This one wasn’t. So please, please, bring the show back for season 2, 3, 4… etc. Don’t have us waiting forever. THANK YOU!!!

I love this show & how connected Gently & Evan are. Season finale was ok. I didn’t like Evan leaving Gently & the fact they divorced. I was happy to see them work together to clean Ms Luma’s house after the birthday party & kiss at the end. I’m hopeful they will remarry. Please, please, please Ava!
I love this show it definitely needs to be a season 2
There aren’t many love shows or movies that I like but I like this love story and the actors in this series.

Great show demonstrated black romance and that everything is not always perfect in relationships. Good to see blacks portrayed differently vs the thug life that seems to be norm for how we live. I hope it’s renewed for another season. We need more like this! Great job Ava!

Love love love this show. It is such a nice show, easy to look at. We do not have enough BLACK romance, without the serious cut-throat drama. It can not be perfect, because humans are not perfect. Love the chemistry between Gently and Evan. Can they have more than one season? Want to see more of them.
I truly hope this show gets renewed. This the first show that I’ve seen that’s true to life. The relationship and how it transpired reminds me of a lot of how we love. I love romance and we do not have enough of that on television. Mostly everything is about adulterous, lying and manipulation. My vote is to say keep it on please.
