What’s This TV Show About?
On Too Close to Home, a small town woman moves to Washington DC to start a new life and join the political scene. Following a major scandal, she retreats to the community and family that she’d been hoping to leave behind. The regular TLC TV series cast includes Danielle Savre, Kelly Sullivan, Brock O’Hurn, Brad Benedict, and Brooke Anne Smith. Courtney Burrell, Azur-De, Nelson Estevez, Angela Rigsby, James Shanklin, KD Aubert, and Crystle Stewart recur. Heather Locklear returns as a guest star.
Season Two Ratings
The second season of Too Close to Home averaged a 0.31 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 1.08 million viewers. Compared to season one, that’s up by 62% in the demo and up by 52% in viewers.
As of December 19, 2017, Too Close to Home has been cancelled by TLC.
Could they bring it back for a third season?

Telly’s Take
The first season of Tyler Perry’s Too Close to Home TV show averaged a 0.19 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 713,000 viewers and yet TLC ordered a second season. Since the current season two ratings averages are way up in both measures, it seems highly unlikely TLC will cancel this scripted drama series. Too Close to Home should be renewed for a third season on TLC. Of course, if the ratings plummet, I reserve the right to change my mind.
12/19 update: Despite a sizable increase in the ratings during season two, Too Close to Home has been cancelled by TLC, with no fanfare. Details here.

I am heartbroken. No season 3 for Too Close to Home. I was sooooo looking forward to start a new season.
Please renew the show, it relates to alot of people, this is real life stuff. How you going to leave us with that ending? We don’t know what Nelson did to Elm, we don’t know if JP killed pops, we don’t know what happened when the president showed up in Happy, I want to know what happened to Bonnie after running over Eli…please please please renew!!!!!! We need some closure..
The show was good. Don’t listen to snobby critics or imdb. Ratings were going up the second season. There was no reason to get rid of this show, it must be company politics.

Please bring back Too Close To Home…I love it! I started watching it because I heard Kelly Sullivan was on it and I loved watching her on The Young and Restless. I really got interested in all the characters!
