What’s in store for the end of Code Black? Recently, executive producer Michael Seitzman spoke with TVLine about the CBS TV show’s upcoming series finale.
As reported earlier, the network has cancelled the medical drama after three seasons. The cast includes Marcia Gay Harden, Luis Guzmán, Boris Kodjoe, Harry Ford, Benjamin Hollingsworth, William Allen Young, Emily Tyra, Noah Gray-Cabey, Emily Alyn Lind, Moon Bloodgood, and Rob Lowe.
In the interview, Seitzman revealed there will be some closure for the series finale of Code Black, which is slated to air on CBS on July 18th at 10 p.m. ET/PT:
At the end of every season, we’ve ended the season to be a story ender for everybody so there’s a sense of closure not just among the audience who we make the show for but also for ourselves. The third season had the added specter of a possible cancellation, which made it more urgent for us to create something for every story that felt like an ending to some degree.”

I’m so disappointed in the cancellation of Code Black is a great medical drama and employee unit working in a hospital. Why do these type of series always get cancelled?
Just like Night Shift and many others that have passed thru the networks . Why Why?
I am so disappointed and cannot understand why this show is being cancelled. There are alot of other shows that should be taken off the air. This show is one of the only ones left that shows real life situations and how people work together. The shows like, Big Brother, Amazing Race, Bachelor, etc, show backstabbing, and conniving. PLEASE DO NOT CANCEL CODE BLACK!
I can’t believe they want to end a great show such as Code Black. It’s the best medical drama to come along in a long time. It has great potential to stay above all others. Please reconsider before ending a great series, love the show,the charectors and actors as well.
I hate that this is cancelled. Have always thought it was well written and produced.
I am extremely disappointed that this show will not be renewed next season. I love this show and it’s so realistic and the actors are great, another show bites the dust 🙁 I think the producers are making a bad decision.

We LOVE THIS SHOW! One of the BEST dramas on tv, now or anytime! Quality scripts, a first rate cast. WHY? CBS usually tries to find an audience time slot for shows of this quality… Not written for 6th graders, for Pete’s sake. Real drama! PLEASE THINK AGAIN AND KEEP THIS GREAT SHOW!
