It looks like its case closed for fans of the Deputy TV series. FOX has decided not to order a second season of the Thursday night TV show for the 2020-21 season.
A crime drama, Deputy stars Stephen Dorff as Bill Hollister, a fifth-generation lawman who is thrust into the role of Los Angeles County Sheriff after the elected sheriff dies. The show’s cast also includes Yara Martinez, Brian Van Holt, Bex Taylor-Klaus, Shane Paul McGhie, and Mark Moses.
The first season of Deputy averaged a 0.58 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 3.67 million viewers. Deputy had a mediocre start in the ratings when it launched in January but the ratings slid downward over the course of the season. The show’s 13th and final installment aired last week.
Deputy is FOX’s second-lowest rated dramatic series of the season. The lowest-rated drama, Almost Family, has already been cancelled.

Deputy is one of the best new shows that has been on in a while. The show is awesome and the story lines are interesting. Please reconsider the cancellation of Deputy. The actors are good and I believe the show deserves at least one more season to see how it progresses. Please give some thought to the renewal of Deputy. Thank you for your time.

You can’t be serious. This show had a great cast and it was a great series. Characters were real. Take your heads out of your butts and renew it. Big mistake. Please bring it back !!!
One of the best new shows on , you can’t take this one away
I watched the whole season in one day. So different from anything else on TV Best cast and gives you everything you want. You have to continue with another season . We have become attached to these characters, the relationships , drama , action And We want more
This sux. It a good show that my husband and I both could set down to watch together. This has happen in the past with other shows. You get interested in it then they dont bring it back. I hope it’s wrong and we do get a second season.
I just love this show Why the cancellation. Just as one look forward to see if he will win in the bid for Sheriff. it’s going to be canceled. This is a damn good show Why is it that every time Fox has a show and it’s good interesting Fox canceled the show. Maybe if you moved the air time if it’s competing against a show with better ratings if the time slot is changed it could produce better ratings.

Sad that this great show wasn’t given more of a chance. These execs need to realize that in todays busy world, not everyone watches these shows live. I watch many network shows on Hulu at my convenience. They need to start using the overall viewership of these shows as a guiide
Fox really missed the boat and is angering loyal viewers. The first action/drama with an original story-line for each episode. All the others are cliche and predictable. The Deputy needs to be renewed.
Love the show. Hopefully Fox will change their minds and renew the Deputy! Maybe another network will pick it up.
Deputy is one of the best shows on tv! It’s has heart, drama, teaches a lesson, honesty and I love the characters! I don’t watch Netflix, hbo or amazon. Please try another season!!!!

Typical big network mentality. No wonder places like Netflix are taking over the TV world. Top execs and decision makers can’t see anything but big dollar signs. They are ruining TV all for ads.
We just discovered the show on Demand. We have just finished the season. Loved it!! please give a second chance. We never even knew about it.

I very much enjoyed the Deputy series and am very disappointed that there will not be a second season. I guess it just wasn’t trashy enough to pull the ratings necessary for the network to continue it. So much outright garbage on TV it’s a shame to see a program that focuses on a law enforcement officer doing the right thing in spite of it not being “how the game is played”.
