It looks like Flip or Flop isn’t sticking around after all. According to E!, the HGTV series is scheduled to end in 2017.
Earlier, we reported the home renovation show would continue despite the recent separation of married hosts Tarek and Christina El Moussa. The series is currently in its seventh season.
While the Moussas released a statement saying the show would continue, it seems this doesn’t mean the show will have several more seasons. An inside source to E! says the couple is contractually obligated to film more episodes in the new year and after that, Flip or Flop will end.
HGTV has not officially announced a cancellation. In a statement to E!, the network said production will continue on Flip or Flop as scheduled:
We admire and appreciate Tarek and Christina’s great work on Flip or Flop. When it comes to matters related to their own family, we respect their privacy and honor any decision that works best for them and their children. HGTV is currently airing episodes of Flip or Flop and the series will continue production as scheduled.”
What do you think? Are you a fan of Flip or Flop? Are you sad to see the series end?
I I’m sad to hear of their split but it is none of our business I will pray for them and I wish the very best for them in their family.
I am sad to hear of their split. It’s always sad when children are involved. They need their privacy, and we have no right to judge them. I will pray for them.
I am so happy these two are going away. They win the award for the dullest people on TV. On top of having no personality, they have absolutely no sense of design. I am stunned that anyone gave them a TV show without noticing that they have no talent. I love the Masters of Flip. Great couple with panache and creativity. Hope they get all the time slots vacated by these losers.
I am saddened to hear of their breakup. It is so easy to see that Tarek adores his little daughter. Now they have the son, I so hope they will somehow be able to overcome whatever problems they have and renew their beautiful family.
Get rid of them..A Christmas Special celebrating family..REALLY????
I think the commercials portraying them as a happy family are uncalled for. I think the show should be taken off of the air immediately.
I was totally disappointed to hear of the breakup of their marriage. I do love the show better than any other of the renovation shows but because of the failed marriage it is too painful for me to watch it any longer. Sorry to see it go.
I really love this show I hope it continues
I would watch a show featuring Tarek.
I have seen all the gray and white I can stand. Christine doesn’t take any chances with her designs.
Flip or Flop is a great show. Our family does not care about Tarek and Christina’s personal life. They do wonderful construction and design. We prefer to watch Flip or Flop, Love it or List it, The Property Brothers, House Hunters and Fixer Upper to anything on CNN. Please renew this show. Thank you.
My family loves the show Flip or Flop. The el Moussa’s do quality work and entertain us. We’re from California and now live in Wisconsin. It’s great to see our former state featured. Please do not cancel this show.:
I liked the show, but when I found out that tramp cheated on Tarak, after they just had their 2nd child I want the show cancelled. She does not deserve to get any money from faking like she loves him for an audience. I know ir hurts him financially and the children will really be hurt. But when you cheat you need to pay the price of what you have done to your family. She has destroyed it and the show. Maybe Tarak can do another show, of which she should get NOTHING in any way. Hope he wins the… Read more »
I’ve also heard stories that he treated her like ****. Some of the things I read are actually quite disturbing. If they are true then he’s got some major issues & any woman would fall out of love. We can’t place judgement because we don’t know them.
Sorry that the show is ending. I enjoyed watching their work.
I watch HGTV all the time. Flip or flop was never all that good. Best of luck to both of them
I disagree this is a great show
I will truly miss this show, Flip or Flop and Love It or Listed It, Property Brothers helped us choose our new home. We are using each show to decorate our home. Besides there are no name calling, cursing or yelling at each other. Praying they will work it and the show will continue. There is no perfect marriage, you will have ups and downs. They need to weight their pros an cons, write them down. Date again, keep family and friends out of your marriage. Use your pastor to counsel you and not love ones. God placed you together,… Read more »
I will not watch the show again, I believe it is misleading the public to believe they are happily married when in reality they are separated and living separately while dating. I believe it is wrong for HGTV to continue the series at all.
I don’t care about their personal lives I like the show
