As usual, ABC didn’t announce if General Hospital had been renewed for another year but we know the show wasn’t cancelled either. The network just kept the series on the air for this, its 60th anniversary season. Will General Hospital survive to see the 2023-24 network TV season? Could ABC announce a renewal this time around, or could it be dropped? Stay tuned.
Debuting in 1963 on April 1st, General Hospital revolves around the loves, lives, and deaths of the people of Port Charles, New York. Actors appearing in the current season include Tabyana Ali, Tajh Bellow, Maurice Benard, Nicholas Chavez, Marcus Coloma, Chad Duell, Michael Easton, Genie Francis, Robert Gossett, Nancy Lee Grahn, Tanisha Harper, Gregory Harrison, Rebecca Herbst, Roger Howarth, Finola Hughes, Josh Kelly, Brook Kerr, Katelyn MacMullen, Cameron Mathison, Sofia Mattsson, Eden McCoy, Kelly Monaco, Avery Kristen Pohl, Amanda Setton, Charles Shaughnessy, Kirsten Storms, Josh Swickard, Kelly Thiebaud, Donnell Turner, Kristina Wagner, Cynthia Watros, Maura West, Laura Wright, and Dominic Zamprogna.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.

For comparisons: The 2021-22 season of General Hospital averaged a 0.32 rating in the 18-49 female demographic with 2.16 million total viewers.

Please keep General hospital on. I watched it with my dearly departed mother who absolutely loved it and still do. It reminds me of her and I love it.
GH is a train wreck. Cancel it cause it will continue to be a train wreck with Frank Valentini and his writing team still there.I already stopped watching GH.

I’ve been watching GH with my Momma since birth in 81 it is the only acceptable soap opera the other channels soaps are cheesy & overly sexual I watch this with my daughter like my Momma did with me she passed 4 years ago & watching it makes me feel closer to her.
I watch GH everyday! Please do not cancel. I wait for the show to watch even before I walk my dog. It’s the best part of my day!
I still like General Hospital. What I don’t like are women with little girl voices. Is this a new “thing?” And why would anyone want little girl voices on a grown woman?
I have been watching GH for 50 years! I don’t watch it until the evening but, I watch it daily. Please keep GH. It is the only soap left that I watch. AMC & OLTL have been canceled for several years now and I still miss watching them. ABC, please don’t cancel GH!
Why don’t the viewer counts include those of us over 50? After all, we have more time to watch, and many of us have been loyal watchers for decades. Therefore, how about figuring us into your stats! I watch GH every day and have for decades, long before there were VCR’s or DVR’s. I know it is fiction, but there have been times throughout the years when it was my anchor to reality as it was a mainstay in my day. Do not end GH, this is the only show that is entertaining with love, adventure and plot twists. Been watching for 45 years.
The age group for soaps is older people. GH has been on for 60 years so that should say something about it’s popularity.
I have been watching General Hospital for over 30 years. My mom lives in a senior facility and the girls there get together and they’ve been watching it since the start you need to bring back General Hospital for another season. It is the perfect middle of the afternoon break to sit down and watch a good show. We do not need any more talk show hosts or any more reality TV!! I look forward every day to watch the stories. It is the one thing on TV that I always watch hope it stays on as long as I am around
I have been watching for 40 years now and want it to continue forever. I even watch the commercials that I have seen before .
Please don’t cancel General Hospital. It has been a show that I have enjoyed since it’s beginning storyline. I look forward every week-day afternoon to a New episode.

For 2 days now no General Hospital. I feel like I am one of the people on GH. My day isn’t complete until I watch the show or the taping later in the day. PLEASE CONSIDER KEEPING THE SHOW ON. Everyone I have a conversation they all watch it and then tell you how they got watching it. Most of us have been watching with our moms from years ago I would say definitely the 80;s,
