God Friended Me was recently cancelled by CBS, and now the cast is reacting to the move by the network. Brandon Michael Hall, Violett Beane and others on the cast spoke about the series ending on social media.
Per TV Line, Hall revealed the following about the cancellation of God Friended Me:
“There’s something to be said for an artist to be able to wake up every single day and work with a group of people who you can honestly call your family. The hardest thing is knowing I’m not going to be able to… work with them [every day].”

I’m a 79 yr old and yes I’m extremely upset about this. They can keep these ridiculous reality shows on that only talk about disgusting body parts,but when something decent is on television, they cancel it. Shame on you!!!
Very disappointed. Good show. Don’t understand why it was canceled.
This show is one of my favorite shows in a long time. Finding out that it was ending was terrible news for me as well. I hope another network picks it up. It deserves it.
Yes, I am upset about this. I really enjoy this show. This is not the only type of show that I like, but I have loved watching it. I hope at least they have given it an ending. I do not watch each week, rather I record shows I like and then watch at my convenience.
I had never heard of this show but it is not anything negative about the show itself. Over the past few years I have moved away from almost all Network TV and pay no attention to the new shows in recent years. A show with the name ‘God’ in it did catch my eye here though. Based on comments it sounds like a show that is rare on TV. And TV could use some diversity that includes views that are often put down by media these days. I love this show: a procedural that isn’t about murder or crime, offers a lot of food for thought, and a great cast. A cut above the usual.
The show should not have been cancelled. Great show and great storylines. Very sad.

I am really upset to learn this show is ending. I will be VERY honest with you and say that when I first saw the title of this show two years ago, I assumed it was going to be some corny show about a supernatural being taking over the world. Why cancel the show when it has so much heart? Not acceptable!
Yes, I was very upset to see the show canceled!! It is one of my top favorite shows on right now. It was different and fun, with a little mystery. I’m still shocked that it’s canceled! Rethink this— please!!!
This show has been one of the highlights of our week!! The actors are outstanding and each thought provoking episode was amazing. I can’t believe you are pulling it!! It really makes me sad because there’s not enough on TV that is wholesome and worth watching
