God Friended Me was recently cancelled by CBS, and now the cast is reacting to the move by the network. Brandon Michael Hall, Violett Beane and others on the cast spoke about the series ending on social media.
Per TV Line, Hall revealed the following about the cancellation of God Friended Me:
“There’s something to be said for an artist to be able to wake up every single day and work with a group of people who you can honestly call your family. The hardest thing is knowing I’m not going to be able to… work with them [every day].”

Wow…such a spiritual uplifting program that gave us a break from all the violence and negativity in the world and of course it comes to an end…I did look forward to this Sunday break … terrible just terrible
This is a terrible decision! I always look forward to watching God Friended Me. Why do you have to cancel a show that has a great story line and wonderful actors and actresses? Again, a terrible decision
Had to run home from wherever I was to see each episode. A fun show I will miss and a great change of rescue/drama shows from that of cop/robbers/fbi scenes even “murder mysteries…Why can’t we have SOMETHING different! God un- friending me, leaves me sad!
For once, a great, meaningful program that I truly enjoy. How in the world could you cancel it. Shame on you and the network. With all the trash and filth on TV, this was the one program that should stay on TV. It truly made a difference in a good way.
I am very disappointed. It always had a positive message and did not depend on violence to attract viewers. So sad.

I am so upset about your decision to cancel an excellent show! The acting and content were number 1. There is no excuse for your decision – it is simply WRONG!!!
I am very very disappointed in hearing about the cancelling of one of the best shows on TV. Probably somebody at the network had a problem with “God” in the title. Maybe Fox will pick it up like they did Tim Allen’s show several years back.
This is the only half way decent show on tv. We canceled our cable as the shows are just stupid, but God Friended Me was better than most. The morals on 99% of the shows on TV are .
Yes I was very upset to see it go. I love the show and the characters. If there’s any possibility, please find someone to keep it going.
Finally we get a show with purpose and then it’s cancelled. Who makes these decisions?
So sorry for God Friended Me cancellation. The show was wonderful, and will be missed by many. This show was/is better than all the reality shows that are on today.
It is a great show for Sunday night..a proper show for Sunday the Lords Day..
What a stupid decision. This show has substance and feeling which is lacking in so much of tv programming today. Way to go geniuses!
