An ABC medical drama, The Good Doctor stars Freddie Highmore, Antonia Thomas, Nicholas Gonzalez, Chuku Modu, Beau Garrett, Hill Harper, Tamlyn Tomita, and Richard Schiff. The show centers on Dr. Shaun Murphy (Highmore), a new surgical resident with autism and savant syndrome. His incredible memory and keen ability to perceive spatial relations inform Shaun’s gifted comprehension of his patients. Meanwhile, his autism can hinder his ability to communicate with others. With only the help of his advocate, Dr. Aaron Glassman (Schiff), Shaun must challenge the skepticism and prejudices of the hospital’s board and medical staff, in order to do his job and save lives.

I absolutely love the show and the story line is just amazing. Freddie Highmore did a wonderful job playing the role of Shaun Murphy and i would be so so happy if the show would come back for a season two.

I really enjoyed the first 6 episodes, but the constant monotone delivery of Dr Murphy’s lines are now starting to be annoying. In the beginning it was quaint, but surely, if he could learn what sarcasm was, he could also learn to speak more normally.
I’m not into medical dramas, but I really love this one. It seems very different from most American medical shows even though it’s based on a South Korean show, but I think it deserves a standing ovation for more seasons. And I think Freddie Highmore is in a role of a lifetime. Hope he Wind some awards for his portrayal as Shaun.
I LOVE them all! Best show I’ve ever watched after Grey’s Anatomy. PLEASE, PLEASE don’t cancel this show – it is intriguing, informative and totally entertaining!
