TV show description:
This cop procedural is a re-imagining of the original longtime series that aired between 1968 and 1980 on CBS. The series focuses on a federalized task force designed to fight crime in Hawaii, and again includes the characters of Steve McGarrett, Danny “Danno” Williams, and Chin Ho Kelly.
Detective Steve McGarrett (Alex O’Loughlin) is a decorated Naval officer-turned-cop. He returns to Oahu to investigate his father’s murder. While there, Hawaii’s Governor (Jean Smart) persuades him to head up the new team — with his rules, her backing, no red tape, and full authority to hunt down the biggest “game” in town.
It’s McGarrett’s aim to bring closure to his dad’s case, and to also repair his relationship with his estranged sister, Mary Ann (Taryn Manning). He’s also honoring his dad by restoring the old 1974 Mercury Marquis.
He’s joined on the new team by Detective Danny “Danno” Williams (Scott Caan), who has just relocated from New Jersey. He likes skyscrapers over the coastline but wants to keep the area safe for his eight-year-old daughter.
Detective Chin Ho Kelly (Daniel Dae Kim) is also part of the new team. He had been stuck on federal security patrol after being wrongly accused of corruption while part of the Honolulu Police Department.
The rookie in their group is Chin’s cousin, Detective Kona “Kono” Kalakaua (Grace Park). She’s eager to prove herself among the others.
The state’s brash new Five-0 unit, who may spar and joke among themselves, but they’re determined to eliminate the seedy elements from the 50th state.
Episode #240 — Aloha
Danny is abducted and badly wounded by Wo Fat’s wife, who is after the cypher Steve’s mother left him. Also, Steve finally solves the case his father left for him 10 years ago. Recurring cast members James Marsters (Victor Hesse), William Sadler (John McGarrett) and Mark Dacascos (Wo Fat) return.

Love this show watch since middle school graduated 10 years ago watching this show and 24 including leverage best crime shows ever wish could continue. Hopefully reruns on streaming binge soon Netflix something.
Hawaii Five-O is a fantastic series. Love all the actors. Please consider renewing! Would hate to see it end.
No 5-O on Friday really stinks. For the time being join Magnum PI and 5-O some.

I was so disappointed to hear that Hawaii-five O was cancelled! I looked forward to watching it every Friday night and was looking forward to seeing Steve McGarrett come back from his trip with Katherine. PLEASE bring back our show!

Isn’t there some way to bring the show back? If O’Loughlin can’t /doesn’t want to, why not put another one of the actors in charge? Maybe the guy from “LOST”—–and then, McGarrett could come back to “help out” from time to time. I wouldn’t want Chi McBride or “Dan-o” in charge because they are so good in the roles that they play, but please find a way to bring back Hawaii-50.
I have enjoyed the show and I am upset that it is not returning. Season 10 WAS EXCELLENT. pLEASE RECONSIDER
I have enjoyed your series Hawaii 5O and didn’t think you’d be able to pull it off. I’m going to miss it and I hope reconsider.
I’m so sad this has ended, I have loved every episode and hope they reconsider !
I read some place that it ended because the one that plays McGarrett had back problems which I feel bad for. But maybe someone else could fill his shoes and they continue to do the show. It was great. Maybe have him come back once in a great while as a cameo. Please bring it back. It was wonderful. For us that remember the original one back in the 60’s it was just as good if not even better.

The show was great, please somehow make it back. This is one of the few great shows on CBS, it’s a pity you had to cancel it.
