TV show description:
Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes) is a volatile CIA operations officer who’s been assigned to the Counterterrorism Center. She was recently recalled from Baghdad because she angered the Iraqi government.
Carrie is liked and trusted by her mentor and former boss, CIA Middle-East Division Chief Saul Berenson (Mandy Patinkin). She’s only tolerated by her current boss, director David Estes (David Harewood). She previously had an extramarital affair with him.
While both men know Carrie very well, neither of them (nor anyone else at the agency) know that Carrie suffers from bipolar disorder. She is being secretly treated by her sister, psychiatrist Maggie Mathison (Amy Hargreaves).
Carrie hears a rumor from one of her contacts that an American POW (prisoner of war) has been “turned” into an al-Qaeda-trained terrorist. Soon after, she learns that American forces have found Marine platoon sergeant Nicholas Brody (Damian Lewis). An expert sniper, Brody had been believed killed eight years earlier.
While the rest of the CIA and the political establishment believes Brody to be a war hero, Carrie is worried that he has been recruited and brainwashed by al Qaeda chief Abu Nazir (Navid Negahban) to act as a sleeper agent. She begins illegal surveillance of Brody’s home, hoping to substantiate her suspicions.
Back in America after so many years, Brody struggles to resume his domestic life. Believing that he was dead, his wife Jessica (Morena Baccarin) has been having a relationship with his best friend, Marine Captain Mike Faber (Diego Klattenhoff). In addition, Brody’s two children, Chris (Jackson Pace) and Dana (Morgan Saylor), are strangers to him. His readjustment is complicated by his erratic behavior.
Episode #96 — Prisoners of War
Saul and Carrie’s final mission comes to a conclusion.

What do you think? Do you like the Homeland TV series? Do you think it should have ended with season eight? Would you have watched season nine on Showtime?
Definitely one of the best series ever:-)) writing and acting is incredible. I can’t imagine why it would not continue next season. I can’t figure out who that was in the car in the episode airing 12/14/14?
Hi homeland producer and acting team and writers: I want to thank you for bringing us such a wonderful show. It is patriotic, exciting and suspense. Me and my whole family watch it every week. Please please keep the show going. We learnt so much from the show . It is definitely the best tv show in the last century
Thanks
Cherry
I so agree!!!!!!
This is the finest drama I have seen on television. My husband and I discovered it in season 3 and prayed for a season 4 and will be praying for a season 5 etc. WE watched all the seasons in 2 weeks. With what is going on in the world this feels both “real” and
plausible. Clare and Saul keep us glued to the TV. We hate having to wait for 2 weeks for the next episode. After watching the rest of things dramatic on TV seem boring.
Homeland is GREAT
please keep homeland on it is the best show on tv and very adult
I WOULD BE EXTREMELY UPSET IF BRODY REALLY IS DEAD!! What would be the point of the show? They must have something up their sleeves
I love Homeland. The problem is like everybody screaming WHY IN THE WORLD DID
THEY KILL OFF BRODY.Heck it was him and Carrie that made the show.I never
thought I would see that hanging coming. Then again I thought maybe while he was
starting to hang the show would end since the show is usually 50 minutes long instead
of the hour it lasted.God bless you Damien Lewis wherever you are at.
I love this show – extremely creative but WHY THE HELL WOULD THEY KILL OFF BRODY???? Hopefully, its a ruse of some kind otherwise…… what? Don’t think the show would have the same kind of intensity without the ‘Brody’ story line….
It is a great program; my wife and I hope that it will return. Would like to see the deus ex machina that brings Brody back.
Homeland is one of the best series on television ever. I hope our writers aren’t out of imagination so as to continue the series for several seasons to come. If only Brody had a twin that was hung that would be a great creativity to work out. Say the Brody was sent home to an unknown location so Carrie didn’t know, nor was she ever to know. Guess what of course in a future season she and their child run into each other. The consequences of such a meet — let your wild imagination create a continued series with many… Read more »
RENEWED
Homeland is one of the most creative and spellbinding series in a very long time. Looking forward to a renewal.
I would be EXTREAMLY upset if Homeland is cancelled! It is the only show that I actually look forward to every week. Do NOT cancell HOMELAND!
I loveeeeeeeeeeeeeee HomeLand , it’s right up there with the few great shows in television history.
