TV show description:
Based on the UK series, You’re Back In The Room, the Hypnotize Me TV show is a comedy game show hosted by Taye Diggs.
Resident hypnotist Keith Barry hypnotizes the contestants, who then have to perform assigned tasks while they’re under. The challenges include garden variety activities like frosting a cake, or inflating balloons.
Despite their altered state, the contestants must find a way to work together to complete their assignments, to win big money. The hypnosis makes that difficult though, even as it reveals things about them that no one ever knew.
Episode #8 — Sports
Contestants put their sports skills to the test as they are challenged to complete simple tasks all while being hypnotized by Hypnotist Keith Barry. Things take a turn when one contestant thinks he is a streaker during “Wacky Golf” and when another turns into a super-jock in the locker room. Our contestants conquer a Sports quiz and Pit crew challenge, with their hypnosis causing hilarious hurdles that unwittingly sabotage their success. After each round of hypnoses, host Taye Diggs will inform the audience of the amount of money earned and later declare the ultimate amount won following the final group challenge.

This show is so-o-o entertaining and educational, without being demeaning to any of the contestants. From early in my life, I was a skeptic of hypnosis, seemed unbelievable. I’ve never had any first person exposure to hypnosis, (ie: stage shows, friends, acquaintances, etc, etc). However, my father, who was a practitioner in a medical field, assured me it’s a very real thing. He’d taken a course in med school that dealt with hypnosis, with anecdotal and practical examples in the classroom, so I believed him (and this was in the 1940’s!). I love hypnotize me…. I laughed and laughed… please don’t cancel it…. I think Taye is funny and awesome…. I would love to be on the show….

I haven’t enjoyed a show as much as I have Hypnotize Me. I laughed so hard I cried. I really hope that the show is renewed in 2020 and more.
