What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the ABC television network, Last Man Standing follows straight-talker Mike Baxter (Tim Allen), a man surrounded by women. While this sporting goods store marketing guy is blessed with common sense, Mike is a little low on what some call political correctness and others call manners. Also starring are Nancy Travis as Mike’s wife, Vanessa; Molly Ephraim as daughter Mandy; Kaitlyn Dever as daughter Eve; Amanda Fuller as daughter Kristin; Jordan Masterson as Kristen’s beau, Ryan; Flynn Morrison as grandson Boyd; Jonathan Adams as neighbor Chuck Larabee; Christoph Sanders as co-worker Kyle Anderson; and Hector Elizondo as bossman Ed Alzate.
Season Six Ratings
The sixth season of Last Man Standing averaged a 1.15 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 6.41 million viewers. Compared to the fifth season, that’s down by 5% in the demo and down by 5% in total viewers. Learn how Last Man Standing stacks up against the other ABC TV shows.

Telly’s Take
Last Man Standing is still performing solidly for ABC. In addition, the sitcom does well in syndication. In first run, Last Man Standing typically wins its Friday night timeslot in the coveted 18-49 year old viewer demographic. The comedy series has also been outperforming the sophomore season of Dr. Ken, for which it serves as lead-in. It seems likely ABC will renew Last Man Standing for a seventh season, as long as the cast is willing and production costs are affordable.

Really really hope this show is renewed. Enjoy every episode. There are so few good shows to watch these days that are funny, have interesting story lines, free of “words” afraid children might hear. ?! Why do the good shows, (very obvious that it is) get cancelled? Can’t figure it out???? Well, what does my opinion or others fighting for the show know anyway – right? What happened to the phrase “Give the people what they want”? Please reconsider

I’m so mad that netflix took it off so I bought the dvd season 1-4. Either bring it back or release 5 & 6 on dvd. I still watch this show every night. It’s the best. Please bring it back.

LAST MAN STANDING was different from other sitcoms. Virtually all other sitcoms feature male characters with problems that provoke laughs. Examples are nerds on BIG BANG, loose living Charlie Harper & user Allen on 2 1/2 MEN, chin toucher Robert & idiot Ray on EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND. The entire cast of LAST MAN STANDING, male & female portray people of dignity. All male characters in their own way were leaders. Scripts were brilliantly written about issues that provoked depth of thought without laughing at male flaws. It was very refreshing & the show will be greatly missed.

It’s too bad ABC is allowing government censorship! I happen to love this show & thought it was very cool that we were allowed to see a differing view. I thought we were a democracy!
