What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the FOX television network, Last Man Standing stars Tim Allen, Nancy Travis, Amanda Fuller, Molly McCook, Christoph Sanders, Jordan Masterson, Hector Elizondo, Jet Jurgensmeyer, Krista Marie Yu, and Jonathan Adams. Kaitlyn Dever will recur. The series revolves around Mike Baxter (Allen), the marketing director of the Outdoor Man sporting goods stores and a “man’s man”. His family doesn’t see eye-to-eye with him so it can sometimes be a little tough for Mike to stand his ground and stay in touch with his inner man.

Telly’s Take
Will FOX cancel or renew Last Man Standing for season eight? The ratings have been dropping but are still good by today’s network standards. I’m sure it will be renewed for an eighth season, especially since 20th Century Fox Television owns the series and reaps the rewards of syndication money. I’ll keep an eye on the Nielsens and update this page with breaking developments. Subscribe for free Last Man Standing cancellation and renewal alerts.
4/18/19 update: FOX has renewed Last Man Standing for an eighth season.

Please keep last Man Standing on for ever Love the show
I would be so very happy to see Last Man Standing return for many more seasons. I don’t get how wwe could possibly take it’s spot, SMH. Can’t they just ship wwe to abc? Fox, don’t fail us like all the other networks have or are doing/done. Please.
Great show, it’s funny. We can relate. BUT , the new “Mandi” has got to go. She just don’t fit the part.
Comeon Vulture, its dinner time, kill this awful reboot.
Last Man Standing is my favorite sitcom of all time. I miss Molly Ephraim and the original Boyd and am not at all enamored with the enhanced role of Jay Leno. However I will watch every episode hoping they can lure Ephraim back. Even if not, I won’t give up on it. The first six seasons were better than a glass of good wine at the end of a challenging work day. Turns out – laughter IS the best medicine!
Too good to give up!
I loved the first 6 seasons of Last Man Standing. But when they added McCook as Mandy they destroyed the show. Won’t watch it any more.
Yep, that & all the other replacements, plus the horrible writing.
It seems as though you watch it enough to critique it. Greatest show on TV.
Last Man Standing was my favorite show. I was devastated when it was canceled, and elated when they brought it back. Then I tuned in for the first episode and discovered that all my favorite actors were gone. They did a sad job of trying to cover this. I gave up. I still love seasons 1 thru 6. The good old days …
I love Last Man Standing! It’s my favorite tv show! I just discovered it less than a year ago but have watched all reruns numerous times. Excellent actors!! Please keep watching so it’ll stay on.
This is a very refreshing show. Great comedy. Good characters. Love Kyle! The writing is fabulous. Please keep this show on FOX.
I have gotten multiple people watching LMS even before it was cancelled by ABC……We all were on petitions and angry letters to bring it back…….the new girl playing Mandy is good, very good……but no one can replace Molly Ephraim……like any other original Character…….like Kristin was replaced in season 2…….BUT, it’s still Tim Allen and most of the crew, even Eve makes apperencences ………Roll with it……..more to come…….I and 6.8 million people hope….
I can’t believe FOX did it, but they actually picked up the show. They should give it a good 3 or 4 years. After that all bets are off, who knows what they’ll do.
We love this LMS. Show please do cancel the show, it is our favorite comedy.
We love The Last Man Standing,.Please ‘t take it off. There isn’ t enough comedy on tv. One of our favorites!
Don’t you mean DON’T take it off?
Just for the record–it was not cancelled for low ratings–it was cancelled because the network was far leftist and disagreed with the political tone. God forbid Conservatives should have ONE series that leans right when every other show is liberal.
Thank you for telling the truth and for standing up for those of us that love this show. Fox can .show the sponsors how effective this show is for the advertisers. Viewers like us really do shop for ourselves, our children and our grandchildren and we have the highest spendable income. We are also the most conservative and the most under appreciated group who will be the most loyal to a show. Keep LMS on the air, Fox you will reap the rewards! Trust us!
Yes. Please keep it airing. It’s the best
I totally agree! Finally a show for our group.
That is 100% false, the show was not cancelled for either, ABC was paying an affiliate for the show, they were not producing it themselves, and it was costing them more than it was making because of it, when the contract came up they wanted a lower price and the production company said no, so it was cancelled. Fox picked it up by buying the entire show, something ABC wasnt willing to do because it had already lost money from the show. ABC has a very long history of conservative shows, just as FOX has a long history of Liberal… Read more »
Boy, you can say that again!!!!! The conservatives should get just as many adult shows as the awful liberal shows.
