TBS is home to some quirky TV series. While Tracy Morgan has been a broadcast network star and household name for more than 20 years, his new TV show, The Last OG, seems right in line with Turner’s offbeat comedic sensibilities. Can Morgan’s star power translate to staying power on cable, like it did on NBC‘s Saturday Night Live and 30 Rock? Will The Last OG be cancelled or renewed for season two? Stay tuned.
A TBS sitcom from creators Jordan Peele and John Carcieri, The Last OG TV show stars Tracy Morgan, Tiffany Haddish, Cedric the Entertainer, Allen Maldonado, Ryan Gaul, Taylor Mosby, Dante Hoagland, Joel Marsh Garland, Gino Vento, Derek Gaines, and Daniel J. Watts. The comedy centers on Tray (Morgan), who is released from prison after 15 years. Finally a free man, Tray returns to Brooklyn, only to find it gentrified. Meanwhile, his old love, Shay (Haddish), has married a white guy. What’s worse — she and Josh (Gaul) are raising the teenaged twins (Mosby and Hoagland), Tray never even knew about. Now he’s got to try to adapt to life on the outside and learn to be a father, when it seems everything he knew is gone. **Status update, below.

What do you think? Do you like The Last OG TV series? Did you think TBS would cancel or renew this TV show for a second season?
**4/23/2018 status update: The Last OG has been renewed for season two on TBS. Details here.
I think the show is great! Excited about season 2
I really hope they renew this show. Having recently been released after 15 years, I am bias, but this show is good. It is humorous, and while not representative of my direct expierences, something that is a good relation to it. I hope there is a season 2
I like “The Last OG.” I’m rooting for its success. It has been funny and thought-provoking. The only thing I’ve disliked the most about the show is the swearing and the n-word. Now, if you cut way back on that, I’d say the show stands a better chance of viewers’ staying tuned in.
Swearing and the N word have little to do with viewership, as evidence in other top shows that do the same. This is just not a good show. Horrible plot. Terrible character development and poor acting. Tiffany Haddish’s character goes from ghetto to classy and back to ghetto? Typical Jordan Peele mentality.
I don’t like the show u seem to think that being disrespectful by using the N word I don’t like the show and I don’t like him Tracy Morgan
Tracy is funny but some comments are not always need to be funny ,some intellect needs to be added
