Looks like Lucifer Morningstar isn’t quite a lucky devil any longer. His show’s ratings have fallen year after year and so, FOX has cancelled its Lucifer TV show. Sadly, fans of the supernatural crime drama won’t be seeing a fourth season this fall.
A FOX comedy-drama, Lucifer stars Tom Ellis, Lauren German, DB Woodside, Lesley-Ann Brandt, Kevin Alejandro, Rachael Harris, Aimee Garcia, Tricia Helfer, Scarlett Estevez, and Tom Welling. The supernatural procedural centers on Lucifer Morningstar (Ellis) who abandoned his throne, retired to Los Angeles, opened up a nightclub, and started helping LAPD Detective Chloe Decker (German) crack cases.
Lucifer: A Look at the Ratings
The third season of Lucifer is averaging a 0.83 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 3.30 million viewers. Compared to season two, that’s down by 20% and down by 10%, respectively. While those declines aren’t huge, the series has seen dips in its ratings each season and the series could easily have been cancelled before. Apparently, the ratings dipped just a bit too low.
Out of the scripted FOX TV shows we’re tracking, Lucifer ranks 13th in terms of its demo performance and rises to 10th place in terms of average total audience size.
Lucifer showrunner Joe Henderson broke the bad news this afternoon.
So… yeah. #Lucifer has been cancelled. And it fucking HURTS. I loved this show so damn much and everyone put their heart and soul into it. Heartbreaking doesn't begin to describe.

The defacto series finale airs Monday, May 14th.

This isn’t what the FANS want, let WB take it on with a new show!! It’s still the 10th highest on average and if it was given the same platform as some other FOZ shows such as ‘Gifted’ on NowTV I think you’d find ratings/ views would go up! This is a great show please reconsider, as I said…. for the FANS.
Lamentable decisión la de Fox. Espero que sea adquirida por cualquier otra cadena y los que seguimos la serie desde fuera de Estados Unidos (y que evidentemente no estamos incluidos en los datos de audiencia de la cadena) la podamos continuar viendo.
I love the show! If Wednesday is the finale then I guess their romantic scenes will be disappointing since we know it’s over! We have waited all this time for them to declare their love and now it will be rushed and ruined! I knew our impatience of wanting them to get together couldn’t be fulfilled because she couldn’t really love the Devil! But when she said “You’re not a devil to me!” Then I hoped their romance could continue because she would never find out who he really was!
Fox TV is starting to suck.They always cancel good shows.If they cancel Lucifer then I have no reason to watch that network anymore.Please bring the show back for another season

Well I guess I am done with Fox. This Sucks. Fox loves to cancel good shows. You cant get into any show on this Network before they cancel it.

Sick & disappointed that Lucifer’s been cancelled. The writing & acting were incredible. I can’t imagine why it couldn’t get enough viewers.
Fox was ridiculous with the scheduling. I watched on Amazon Prime, and Lucifer would disappear for weeks. Why do that when you want to hook viewers in. Love the show, hate the idea we are all left not knowing what will happened to Lucifer and co.
Well, FOX I guess I have no reason to tune in to your shows. I thought you would give it a chance for a darker 4th season. This was a great show. Maybe another channel will see your mistake and run with it. Dang, always a bummer when something you look forward to watching is canceled and they have to leave things in the air. I don’t watch anything else on your network.

This not the first time Fox has cancelled a show and left it with out any sort of ending, what is the point of watching there tv. They must know long in advance they are not going to commision anothere series. People out there must stop watching there programs, and stop them treating us like idiot’s, if you read books and the last chapter had no ending you would not read any more of that author’s book. So Fox you can stick your tv station up your Ass, i for one will never watch another show of yours ever again.
