TV show description:
This horror black comedy series is based on the characters created by Neil Gaiman, Sam Kieth, and Mike Dringenberg for DC Entertainment’s Vertigo imprint. It’s the story of the original fallen angel — Lucifer.
Bored and unhappy as the Lord of Hell, Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis) has abandoned his throne and retired to Los Angeles. There, he owns an upscale nightclub named Lux. Charming, charismatic, and devilishly handsome, Lucifer is enjoying his retirement, indulging in a few of his favorite things — wine, women, and song.
His bliss is disturbed when a beautiful pop star is brutally murdered outside of his club. For the first time in roughly 10 billion years, he feels something awaken deep within him as a result of this murder. Could it be (perish the thought) compassion or sympathy?
These thoughts disturb both Lucifer and his best friend and confidante, Mazikeen aka Maze (Lesley-Ann Brandt). Maze is a fierce demon who’s taken the form of a beautiful young woman.
The murder outside the club attracts the attention of LAPD homicide detective Chloe Decker (Lauren German). She’s initially dismissive of Lucifer but she soon becomes intrigued by his talent for drawing out people’s secrets. Chloe also likes his desire to dispense justice, doling out punishment to those who deserve it.
As they work together to solve the pop star’s murder, Lucifer is struck by Chloe’s inherent goodness. Accustomed to dealing with the absolute worst of humanity, Lucifer is intrigued by Chloe’s apparent purity and begins to wonder if there’s hope for his own soul yet.
At the same time, God’s emissary, an angel named Amenadiel (DB Woodside), has been sent to Los Angeles to convince Lucifer to return to the underworld.
Can the Devil incarnate be tempted toward the side of Good — or will his original calling pull him back toward Evil?
Episode #93 — Partners ‘Til the End
Desperate to rescue Rory, Lucifer and Chloe confront her kidnapper with guns and wings blazing. Lucifer finally comes to terms with his purpose.
First aired: September 10, 2021.
What do you think? Do you like the Lucifer TV show? Should it have been cancelled or renewed for a seventh season on Netflix?
This show must be renewed. Don’t screw this up, Fox, like you did Josh Whedon’s “Firefly.”

I enjoy watching Lucifer because of Tom Ellis. He plays the part of Lucifer so well. You end up liking Lucifer despite the fact that he’s Satan. I hope this sow will be renewed.
Find the show very entertaining and enjoy Lucifers cynical view of life 🙂
Really like the show, please keep for another season
Lucifer is one of the best new shows on tv and it should be renewed for a second season. The show is funny and the actor that portrays the devil is absolutely wonderful in an almost devilish way.
Great show looking forward to season two and beyond
I saw a few so-called Christians posting their vile hatred of this show. As a true Christian myself who actually graduated from a Ministerial University in Indiana, has one question to these self proclaimed Christians. Under whose name do you curse this show, because it is not under Jesus Christ. Maybe if you took the time and actually watched it rather than play devil’s advocate, you would discover the show is about redemption. Christ forgave everyone, and he instructed us to forgive as well. So save your hypocrisy until you know what you are fighting for. Do not be those… Read more »
“A Priest…bar” certainly makes it clear that the show is about redemption. What is interesting is the contrast between Father Frank’s and the minister’s reactions in in the first episode to Lucifer and we, the audience are left to draw our own inferences and conclusions. And we are left with the idea that if the devil can be redeemed then there is hope for the rest of us.
Something else I liked about the show. It does not make Lucifer a horrible looking monster. In the Bible, it states that Lucifer was God’s most beautiful angel who fell from Grace. In some religions, Lucifer was given his job because God could trust no one else with it. In these so-called cults, Lucifer unleashed fair punishment according to your sins and not the eternal damnation many bible thumpers preach. I am not saying who is right or wrong but i cannot see.an adultresd getting the same punishment as Adolph Hitler. Especially after studying the bible and other religions for… Read more »
In “Manly What – Nots” Lucifer makes it very clear that Carter does not deserve death and in the first episode Jimmy gets a punishment worse than death. The one great thing about this show is that it can lead to intelligent discussions about the nature of evil, personal responsibility for our actions. free will as opposed to predestination. It was most appropriate for Lucifer to have white wings as they are suitable for his role as light bearer. The one place where the writers got it wrong was when Linda tells Lucifer that his original name was Samael, the… Read more »
“The Way” College of Biblical Research? What can I say, if you love to garden you have to hate a weed. Good can have no part with evil. I know ALL I need to know about this show, and I’m very disappointed in what used to be the last decent network. Obviously it has been bought out by a bunch of people who wear goatskin pants on the weekend. I’m gullible for God. If he says the Devil is the un-redeemable standard of evil, I’m going to believe Him and not Man. But of course, Fox knew to begin with… Read more »
“The Way ” is a Catholic book on bible study. But if that is all you have studied you are in trouble. First go get a complete College Bible that includes the books the King James Bible omits. Then add to it: Living Religions – so you can have some sort of break down into other forms of religion. Then since the notes and lectures would be too much for some let me recommend the dummies versions on judism, Islam, Hinduism, Buddism, Taoism, & any other religion I left out. If you truly want to understand Christianity you need to… Read more »
Something I forgot to add. I think I remember someone posting, “We would burn in Hell” and claiming to be Christian. Did you know this person has misled you and is more likely a Muslim than a Christian? In the true Christian bible, people being thrown into the Pitts of hell does not exist. Read that statement again if you wish. Either way it does not change the fact. I am not exactly sure where in the Quran since my education was on the Bible with a minor in other religions. But the true idea of Hell comes out of… Read more »

“A priest walks…” a very powerful emotional episode for Lucifer. What is implied but never stated is just who the priest actually is. Lucifer is showing us that he is all too human in his grief but he also shows that his role as a punisher is never far from the surface. The writers have turned Lucifer from a simple stereotyped image of the devil into a very complex character but he still hasn’t lost his role as a tempter. What is also interesting is that Lucifer hasn’t yet realised that Chloe responds to him when he shows his emotional… Read more »
I’m not a member of any organization that has called for a boycott of this network… you could say it just comes naturally. I guess if you cared what Christians think you wouldn’t have broadcasted this show in the first place. Obviously the ego-strokers in this comments section care nothing for Christian doctrine other than to participate in its mockery. See you on Judgement Day when every knee shall bow.
This is a story about redemption and if the “baddest” guy in the universe can be redeemed then there is hope for all of us. In addition “Lucifer” addresses theological issues but doesn’t hit us on the head with a figurative sledge hammer.
No. What the writers of this show have done is to employ the author of evil itself who is the one guy that God instructs us to be un-redeemable, and twisted that teaching to try to substitute good for evil, and evil for good. It’s a lousy deception, and only a lost person would care two bits for the very concept.
