TV show description:
This horror black comedy series is based on the characters created by Neil Gaiman, Sam Kieth, and Mike Dringenberg for DC Entertainment’s Vertigo imprint. It’s the story of the original fallen angel — Lucifer.
Bored and unhappy as the Lord of Hell, Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis) has abandoned his throne and retired to Los Angeles. There, he owns an upscale nightclub named Lux. Charming, charismatic, and devilishly handsome, Lucifer is enjoying his retirement, indulging in a few of his favorite things — wine, women, and song.
His bliss is disturbed when a beautiful pop star is brutally murdered outside of his club. For the first time in roughly 10 billion years, he feels something awaken deep within him as a result of this murder. Could it be (perish the thought) compassion or sympathy?
These thoughts disturb both Lucifer and his best friend and confidante, Mazikeen aka Maze (Lesley-Ann Brandt). Maze is a fierce demon who’s taken the form of a beautiful young woman.
The murder outside the club attracts the attention of LAPD homicide detective Chloe Decker (Lauren German). She’s initially dismissive of Lucifer but she soon becomes intrigued by his talent for drawing out people’s secrets. Chloe also likes his desire to dispense justice, doling out punishment to those who deserve it.
As they work together to solve the pop star’s murder, Lucifer is struck by Chloe’s inherent goodness. Accustomed to dealing with the absolute worst of humanity, Lucifer is intrigued by Chloe’s apparent purity and begins to wonder if there’s hope for his own soul yet.
At the same time, God’s emissary, an angel named Amenadiel (DB Woodside), has been sent to Los Angeles to convince Lucifer to return to the underworld.
Can the Devil incarnate be tempted toward the side of Good — or will his original calling pull him back toward Evil?
Episode #93 — Partners ‘Til the End
Desperate to rescue Rory, Lucifer and Chloe confront her kidnapper with guns and wings blazing. Lucifer finally comes to terms with his purpose.
First aired: September 10, 2021.
What do you think? Do you like the Lucifer TV show? Should it have been cancelled or renewed for a seventh season on Netflix?
I love the show. There are not many interesting shows on the air. Why would Fox cancel this delightful and funny show? Hope another channel will pick it up.
I’ve enjoyed LUCIFER a lot .my friend and I would ramble back and fourth .i am so very disappointed The show is canceled .of all of FOXES shows ,why this one ?
I have never missed an episode , and by the way whoever wrote the ending should be “canned ” not the show itself .
BAD BAD BAD IDEA
The ending of “A Devil of my Word” was deliberately written so that Lucifer would have to be renewed. I liked the ending in “Once Upon a Time” because it shows that Luci and Chloe would still be drawn to each other. It also reinforces the fact that Luci and Chloe , in the “real” world have been making their own choices contrary to what Luci believes. The alternate universe clearly shows that each major character makes his/her own life choices.
Oh please don’t cancel it! What a fun series!
I absolutely love this show and why in the world would Fox want to cancel it. It’s edgy, very funny & very original. I hope that another network picks it up , I’m keeping my fingers crossed.
Please don’t cancel Lucifer!! It’s a great show with something for any age viewer! Their aren’t many shows out there with that the!
I wish this show had a least given us Chloe’s reaction to Lucifer’s devil face.
HOW can you cancel this show? It’s modern, GREAT story lines, SUPERB acting. I may give my TV away since there will be NOTHING GOOD during prime time.
How could this show be cancelled? So much more story to tell! One of the best shows on TV! What a short sighted decision. Please rethink. So very disappointing,
I can’t believe Lucifer is cancelled. LOVE this show and there is so much more storyline. The characters are great. What is wrong with FOX? Were ratings that low? But yet FOX keeps other shows that are dumb.
Another great FOX show that I love, but they’ve given up on. I don’t know why I bother to watch anything on this network. The only shows that they seem to keep running year after year are those that appeal to people with short attention spans.
By cancelling Lucifer FOX screwed up big time. If the executives had looked at how many people in the entire world are / were watching Lucifer they could have gotten companies which normally don’t sponsor a programme like Lucifer to sponsor Lucifer. It would be a win – win – win situation. The advertisers find new consumers, FOX gets more revenue and we fans get the programme we love. In addition by having such a popular programme like Lucifer helps give FOX some cachet as a prestige network. The only other TV programme that has such universal popularity as Lucifer… Read more »
I cannot believe they are canceling Lucifer it is our favorite show.
I cannot believe they are canceling Lucifer. It is me and my husband’s favorite show. It is a great show. It is the only show we both like
I truly liked the show Lucifer. I do believe the Powers to Be have made a big mistake by cancelling the show. It is the only show that I watched on ABC.
I though it was a very good show. The charters were all very good at their parts. It was not just another cop show. I am disappointed it won’t be on next season. I always looked forward to watching it. Some episodes I watched more than once. It will be missed.
I truly enjoyed the show! I have purchased all 3 seasons and I plan to rewatch them. I would like to know the reason behind the show cancelation but I’m sure FOX will not say. I just hope some other Channel will pick it up. There have been so many great TV shows cancelled…
FOX claims the cancellation is based on ratings. There are other shows which have much lower ratings than Lucifer but they weren’t cancelled. Perhaps Thursday being devoted to football has something to do with it.
