TV show description:
This horror black comedy series is based on the characters created by Neil Gaiman, Sam Kieth, and Mike Dringenberg for DC Entertainment’s Vertigo imprint. It’s the story of the original fallen angel — Lucifer.
Bored and unhappy as the Lord of Hell, Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis) has abandoned his throne and retired to Los Angeles. There, he owns an upscale nightclub named Lux. Charming, charismatic, and devilishly handsome, Lucifer is enjoying his retirement, indulging in a few of his favorite things — wine, women, and song.
His bliss is disturbed when a beautiful pop star is brutally murdered outside of his club. For the first time in roughly 10 billion years, he feels something awaken deep within him as a result of this murder. Could it be (perish the thought) compassion or sympathy?
These thoughts disturb both Lucifer and his best friend and confidante, Mazikeen aka Maze (Lesley-Ann Brandt). Maze is a fierce demon who’s taken the form of a beautiful young woman.
The murder outside the club attracts the attention of LAPD homicide detective Chloe Decker (Lauren German). She’s initially dismissive of Lucifer but she soon becomes intrigued by his talent for drawing out people’s secrets. Chloe also likes his desire to dispense justice, doling out punishment to those who deserve it.
As they work together to solve the pop star’s murder, Lucifer is struck by Chloe’s inherent goodness. Accustomed to dealing with the absolute worst of humanity, Lucifer is intrigued by Chloe’s apparent purity and begins to wonder if there’s hope for his own soul yet.
At the same time, God’s emissary, an angel named Amenadiel (DB Woodside), has been sent to Los Angeles to convince Lucifer to return to the underworld.
Can the Devil incarnate be tempted toward the side of Good — or will his original calling pull him back toward Evil?
Episode #93 — Partners ‘Til the End
Desperate to rescue Rory, Lucifer and Chloe confront her kidnapper with guns and wings blazing. Lucifer finally comes to terms with his purpose.
First aired: September 10, 2021.
What do you think? Do you like the Lucifer TV show? Should it have been cancelled or renewed for a seventh season on Netflix?
Love this show, hope it continues. Good dialogue, the actor playing Lucifer is an excellent actor. Is he changing? Actually becoming good…ish? Keep it going!
I loved in “Et Tu, Doctor” where he tells the jumper to go for it and that he can’t go anywhere but up but first tell Lucifer about jealousy.
BEST SHOW ON TV – I LOVE THIS SERIES!!! Funniest concept and best writing on TV – and I LOVE the character Lucifer!! DON’T EVER CANCEL THIS SHOW!!
I really enjoy this show! Keep it!
I really like the humor in “Lucifer”. Keep the show on the air.
Please please please cancel those staged reality shows & keep Lucifer! I look forward to it each week, silly as it may be, but down deep, I think my deep seated religious doubts are being overcome by Lucifer’s possibility.
Lucifer is one of my favorites. I totally look forward to it continuing.
Please renew. I’m retired, church attending, and possibly in the demographic you might think would be offended by this show. But I love it. New favourite show; we watch every week & then watch again by PVR.
I think the naysayers most likely haven’t seen any of the episodes because if they did they would get the overall theme of the series. As a Christian I don’t find this show the least bit offensive but extremely entertaining and on some level thought provoking.
I love this show! I think it should stay on, I’m tired of having my shows canceled..every time I start watching a tv series, and start really getting into it, it gets canceled. Just because of a few rediculous accusations by people who have no right to ruin it for the rest of us. If you don’t like something, just don’t watch it…please don’t ruin a good time and cancel one of the best shows on tv. This is rediculous, I’m so tired of having to fight to be able to watch shows I actually love. It’s like what happened… Read more »
Love the show as Lucifer becomes more mortal and moral each episode!!
Perhaps the unfinished plan is to bring Lucifer back to the meaning of his name-light bearer/bringer.
I really enjoy the Show “Lucifer”, it is so much better then most of the garbage that is on tv today.
A Hell of a Good Hour!! Best Dark Horror -comedy out today!!
Please ,,Please Keep it continuing!!!
This show has the best written one liners of any sitcom on TV as of date.
I really like this program. I sure hope it can survive.
Show should be kept. Tongue-in-cheek humour and well written. Nice change from the over-the-top reality shows or police procedure dramas (which I like). Nice to have something a bit different.
I love this show! Those people who want to shut it down don’t have to watch it! It’s America – freedom of speech and entertainment! Kids shouldn’t be up late and watching this show anyway!
