TV show description:
This horror black comedy series is based on the characters created by Neil Gaiman, Sam Kieth, and Mike Dringenberg for DC Entertainment’s Vertigo imprint. It’s the story of the original fallen angel — Lucifer.
Bored and unhappy as the Lord of Hell, Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis) has abandoned his throne and retired to Los Angeles. There, he owns an upscale nightclub named Lux. Charming, charismatic, and devilishly handsome, Lucifer is enjoying his retirement, indulging in a few of his favorite things — wine, women, and song.
His bliss is disturbed when a beautiful pop star is brutally murdered outside of his club. For the first time in roughly 10 billion years, he feels something awaken deep within him as a result of this murder. Could it be (perish the thought) compassion or sympathy?
These thoughts disturb both Lucifer and his best friend and confidante, Mazikeen aka Maze (Lesley-Ann Brandt). Maze is a fierce demon who’s taken the form of a beautiful young woman.
The murder outside the club attracts the attention of LAPD homicide detective Chloe Decker (Lauren German). She’s initially dismissive of Lucifer but she soon becomes intrigued by his talent for drawing out people’s secrets. Chloe also likes his desire to dispense justice, doling out punishment to those who deserve it.
As they work together to solve the pop star’s murder, Lucifer is struck by Chloe’s inherent goodness. Accustomed to dealing with the absolute worst of humanity, Lucifer is intrigued by Chloe’s apparent purity and begins to wonder if there’s hope for his own soul yet.
At the same time, God’s emissary, an angel named Amenadiel (DB Woodside), has been sent to Los Angeles to convince Lucifer to return to the underworld.
Can the Devil incarnate be tempted toward the side of Good — or will his original calling pull him back toward Evil?
Episode #93 — Partners ‘Til the End
Desperate to rescue Rory, Lucifer and Chloe confront her kidnapper with guns and wings blazing. Lucifer finally comes to terms with his purpose.
First aired: September 10, 2021.
What do you think? Do you like the Lucifer TV show? Should it have been cancelled or renewed for a seventh season on Netflix?
Couldn’t find a location to place a vote but if Netflix is still considering, my husband, daughter and I love this series! We would love a 6th season. This series has allowed us a time to be with our teen-aged daughter. So many times, teen-agers would rather do anything than sit with their parents. We actually had to cut it off after 3 episodes because it was so addicting! Thanks for this time with our daughter! The writing team is fantastic! … Along with all the other teams that makes this series happen!
This is a great show. Always leaves you wanting more.
Lucifer is a well-done fun show with a following. Compared to a lot of shows still on Lucifer is a gem.
I like Lucifer series and I think Netflix should continue to 6 episodes I think there’s more to explore I really like the past 4 episodes so it think it will work and will have a big demand
It’s too bad that this will be last season of “Lucifer” which is one of the best TV shows on the planet. While it would be nice to have Luci and Chloe ride off into the sunset and have their happily ever after we have to remember that this is a story about Luci’s redemption. For me the perfect ending would be Luci having some sort of reconciliation with Dad and fully accepting personal responsibility for the choices he (Luci) has made. I still think that Dad wants to retire and have Luci take over the family business. Could and… Read more »
Definitely need Lucifer back brilliant don’t cancel it. Really need to know if Lucifer comes back from hell!
I liked Lucifer. It was thought provoking.
I love this show!!
It is a great show and should be continued. Very different from all typical cops and robbers shows!
My husband and I love this show, with it’s whit, humor clever writing, and the actor’s actresses, excellent chemistry. We where looking for the show for a while, then found it on Netflix and we’re so excited. Then find out Netflix isn’t going to keep it running either. What a bummer, you had a great show with Lucifer. Hopefully you consider bringing it back.
Great series. Clever. Strong cast. Keep it going, please!
I love the show. It’s too bad Netflix is no renewing.
the best show on tv do not cancel
There should definitely be a sixth season. The acting and story line is excellent. Please consider more seasons.
Agree! Perhaps Hulu will pick it up, or even CW.
One of the most important things in a great show is having interesting secondary and tertiary characters. Lucifer does that, in spades. The dynamic between Lucifer and the detective are fantastic, but the supporting characters really make the show come alive. It’s as delicious to consume as popcorn on a winter day. Please renew it for another year.
