MacGyver will be back in action for season five. CBS just announced they’ve renewed the adventure TV show for the 2020-21 broadcast season.
The MacGyver reboot series centers on Angus “Mac” MacGyver (Lucas Till), a 20-something adventurer. Mac creates a secret organization within the US government. There, he uses his vast scientific knowledge and an extraordinary talent for unconventional problem-solving to save lives. The cast also includes Tristin Mays, Justin Hires, Meredith Eaton, Levy Tran, and Henry Ian Cusick.
The fourth season of MacGyver averages a 0.67 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 6.11 million viewers. Compared to season three, that’s down by 5% in the demo and even in viewership.
MacGyver is a middle-of-the-road performer when compared to the ratings of other CBS TV shows in the 2019-20 season. The fourth season finale airs on Friday, May 8th.

MacGyver is our very favorite TV show. We look forward to watching it every Friday! My entire family is relieved, grateful and excited MacGyver was renewed for Season 5. Just hope CBS renews MacGyver every year. Great family show!

I love the rebooted macgyver, I can’t wait for season 5 the Mac and Desi relationship throws me off bc I really thought Riley and him would end up together but other than that yes I will be watching the new season if and when it comes out!
MacGiver needs to return to its roots. The gadgets were the real star of the show with all the adventure. The Mac/Desi relationship isn’t working, it just gets distracting. And now making it a triangle with Riley stinks. I want to see action & thrills. I miss Murdock.

I love the macgyver series, the reboot! It is quality acting and a really awesome ensemble cast!! I hope cbs is smart enough to fund series 5 as i and my friends ALL watch!!

I personnaly think that Macgyver season 4 was the very best out there, last seasons got me bored a little but my hopes are high for the 5th. I’ve really enjoyed this whole season. Also hope Mac and Riley will become a thing 🙂
I have CBS All Access and watch Mac faithfully along with several others. I am very happy to have another season coming!!
I don’t care for MacGyver as much as I used to. The tricks he pulls are just not believable which spoils it for me. I watch it if there is nothing else I’d rather see and if I’m not doing anything else.
