Madam Secretary is getting ready for its final bow. The finale for the drama is scheduled to air next month, and the finale will feature some very special guests. The episode is titled “Leaving the Station.” The cast of the series features Téa Leoni, Tim Daly, Željko Ivanek, Patina Miller, Erich Bergen, Wallis Currie-Wood and Kevin Rahm.
CBS revealed those guests in a press release. Check that out below.
“The series finale of MADAM SECRETARY will feature a host of esteemed guest stars who will help celebrate the critically acclaimed series’ six-year run. The episode will air Sunday, Dec. 8 (10:30-11:30 PM, ET/10:00-11:00 PM, PT) on the CBS Television Network.
In the series finale, members of the World Cup Champion U.S. Women’s Soccer team, Crystal Dunn, Allie Long, Ashlyn Harris and Ali Krieger, visit the White House to help Elizabeth (Téa Leoni) kick off a new landmark political initiative. Cicely Tyson guest stars as Flo Avery, who was born the day women were granted the right to vote, and joins the soccer stars at the White House. Tyne Daly guest stars as Senator Amy Ross from Ohio, who opposes the initiative.
Also, Grammy Award winner and music icon Peter Frampton performs during a McCord family celebration. Previously, Frampton performed during the series’ fifth season.”
So far, season six of Madam Secretary has averaged 4.211 million viewers.
What do you think? Are you a fan of Madam Secretary? Are you sad to see the series end?
Love this show and quite sorry to see it end. The cast is uniformly great and I’ll miss it. One of the best on TV. I particularly appreciated the strong marriage that was at it’s heart.
It is a shame that a show of this caliber is doing the swan song. I truly believe that if CBS had scheduled this at an earlier time they would have continued the series with much higher numbers. As it is the show has taken the 10 o’clock time slot for years. A very special thank you to Tea and the staff. I wish you the best

So sad show is ending. I always look forward to the series an I watch the reruns on weekend late night. Wish there was more. ☹️
CBS should have changed the night and the time of the season finale , since it will be
really special.
What a horrible thing to do to the best tv show ever to air.
I will miss this program. It’s been such a nice escape from the highly dysfunctional reality of current U.S. government. If only the McCords were really in the White House instead of the idiots who actually occupy it!
I’ve also loved the evolution of the McCord’s family dynamics over the years.
So sorry to hear it is going off. Great show and actors. Why take it off! Most of the shows on today are either boring or horrible. This one is great and great to watch. Loved watching it. My best to the cast.
YES; I very much want the series to continue!
I am genuinely sorry to see this show leave. It has been my favorite “hate to miss it” show since it started. Its one of those shows that I will think about long after it is gone. Wondering what the family WOULD be doing if it were still aired. Thats how I know I love a show. If I still care about the characters!!! My very best to ALL the cast!!!!
Thank you! Especially to Tea and Tim for allowing us to share in your wonderful series! My wife and I centered our best moments being part of your TV family. Thank you!!!! We cant wait to see what you both do next. And kudos to the whole troup. They were a cross section of America in it’s best diversity. The best to all. Love, Faye and Bill Alexander
Second only to BLUE BLOODS as our favorite. VERY sorry to see it go!!!!
I loved the show until leftist political views became increasingly blatant. Once I heard that the final season would only have 10 episodes I was through with the show.
I love Madam Secretary. It’s rare a television series with intelligent and current writing, that allows for a strong female lead and strong sensitive men. It’s the only show that I watch on CBS. Cheers Madame President, farewell.
We never miss Madam Secretary. We say each week that we would love to have her for our President. She gave us hope dach week that we could havea Secretary of State, and Oresident who has courage works despite what obstacles were put in front of her. She was a role model a family person who believed in a democracy that was a shining example of moral strength. Will she be missed? Absolutely.
This was a Great show to Me!! I am truly going to miss Madam Secretary it’s a great change from those unrealistic Reality shows that are poping up it seems everyday.
I am so sick of the reality shows with the exception of Below Deck. Madam Secretary gave us a great insight about how our government works and also great family values without preaching religious beliefs. Sad to see this show go and hope the writers come up with another show with the same quality.
Extremely disappointed that show is ending after 6 seasons.
I will miss Madame Secretary very much. The issues are interesting, so much more to be addressed.
