What’s This TV Show About?
Based on Lev Grossman’s best-selling books, The Magicians TV show is set at the secret Brakebills University for Students of Magical Ability. Grad student Quentin Coldwater (Jason Ralph) spends more time immersed in a fantasy book series than living his life. When he and his best friend Julia (Stella Maeve) are transported to Brakebills for an entrance exam, their world changes forever. In the second season, the Brakebills students find themselves navigating the enchanted, unpredictable world of Fillory. There, they will begin an even more perilous, dark and twisted journey. The Syfy cast also includes Olivia Taylor Dudley, Arjun Gupta, Hale Appleton, Summer Bishil, Jade Tailor, and Rick Worthy.
Season Two Ratings
The second season of The Magicians averaged a 0.31 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 788,000 viewers. Compared to season one, that’s up by 7% in the demo and up by 2% in viewers. Find out how The Magicians stacks up against the other Syfy TV shows.

As long as this sci-fi drama maintains its current numbers, it should be safe from cancellation. If the season-to-season gains continue, Syfy will renew The Magicians for season three. The show is one of the cable channel’s best ratings performers in terms of both its demo numbers and audience size. Perhaps someone has cast a spell? Update: As expected The Magicians has been renewed.

Show reminds me of Tru Blood. Starts out great then devolves into a trailer park soap oprea. Everyone ******* each other, betraying each other. Nothing ever actually being accomplished in a meaningful way. Dissapointing
