What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the CBS television network, Magnum PI stars Jay Hernandez, Perdita Weeks, Zachary Knighton, Stephen Hill, Tim Kang, and Amy Hill. This reboot of the 1980s TV show follows Thomas Magnum (Hernandez), a decorated former Navy SEAL who repurposes his military skills to become a private investigator. He lives in a guest cottage on Robin’s Nest, the luxurious estate where he works as a security consultant to supplement his P.I. business. The “majordomo” of the property is Juliet Higgins (Weeks), a beautiful and commanding disavowed MI:6 agent who keeps Magnum in line. When Magnum needs back-up on a job, he turns to his trusted buddies and fellow POW survivors, chopper pilot Theodore “TC” Calvin (Hill) and Orville “Rick” Wright (Knighton), a former Marine door-gunner who now runs a nightclub. Magnum frequently has run-ins with police detective Gordon Katsumoto (Kang) and the two are more alike than either cares to admit. Teuila “Kumu” Tuileta (Hill) is one of Magnum’s biggest fans and is also the unofficial “House Mom” and cultural curator of Robin’s Nest.
Season Two Ratings
The second season of Magnum PI averaged a 0.65 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 6.66 million viewers. Compared to season one, that’s down by 27% in the demo and up by 11% in viewership. Find out how Magnum PI stacks up against other CBS TV shows.

I’d be disappointed if it’s cancelled. It’s a fun show and great escape. I like it on the same night as Hawaii Five-0
Very enjoyable series – impressive cast and scriptwriters – and of course, there is Hawaii!!

Good entertaining show. Should be retained for a 3rd season. The plot is a bit repetative but so are all the other shows. Would be great if some of the “writers” could think outside the box
I hope it gets renewed, I was a fan of the original series, always wanted to live that kinda of life, and I think the News series put a new spin on it with a female Higgins, admitt live the old Higgins when he was mad at magnum, which was almost every episode, and would yell “ OH MY GOD”, so please renew, thank

How can you think of canceling Magnum P.I. but keep the reboot of McGyver of which I think I watched 1 maybe 2 episodes of and decided it did not live up to the original. If you are thinking of canceling please use your heads and rethink. !

The website won’t take my email address thus my plea to continue Magnum PI with Jay Hernandez has to appear here. It says it’s invalid, but I have entered it in correctly. It’s the same email address I’ve had for over 10 years and I’ve never had a site reject it before. I think that for some reason the net work wants to cancel this show and will do anything it can to do so. It had higher ratings than a lot of shows already confirmed for next season. I like this rendition much better than the Tom Selleck version.… Read more »
