Merry Happy Whatever hit Netflix over Thanksgiving weekend, and the cast is ready to do future seasons of the series. Both Dennis Quaid and Bridget Mendler are open to filming seasons that tackle other holidays for the Quinn family.
According to Bustle, Quaid said, “I hope so. Gosh I hope so,” when asked about the possibility of more of the Quinn family. He even teased a Groundhog Day-themed possibility of Merry Happy Whatever.
As for Mendler, she said the following about future seasons, per Elite Daily:
“The cool thing about the holidays is that you kind of do have your time away from the flow of regular life to think about things. For Emmy, she winds up thinking about so many different things about her life that hadn’t come into focus before, so it’s really like a jostling experience over the holidays, but it winds up being a good thing ultimately.”
When the series was originally picked up by Netflix, the creator of the series, Tucker Cawley, did have an anthology series in mind, so both Quaid and Mendler could bring more comedy to the small screen at some point.

Watching Quaid in this character to me is the BEST, and I dare to say an Old School protective, yet sweet father. I like old school parenting…it is funny for sure and binge watched all of Season 1, so YES, definitely want more…please!!
My husband and I enjoyed the show very much and hope it continues. I always enjoy Dennis Quaid. I thought the whole cast was very good.
We loved it and want more it was a great cast bringing humore to real life issues. with emotion.
On yes I am hoping that there will be several more season’s of “Merry Happy,Whatever” . It’s one of those show’s that they can take the storyline in several direction’s which will draw more in to watch the show! Not to mention, Dennis Quaid happens to be easy to love in a storyline. They really pulled it off, and I would truly be disappointed if we don’t see more of another Netflix number 1 show! Netflix has been quite successful with bringing us the audience great television show’s!
I am hoping that they have more than one season! I love this show and love that it is a clean and funny family show that anyone would enjoy !!
