NBC’s new Midnight, Texas TV show was originally supposed to premiere during the mid-season, but the Peacock Network decided to slate the ten-episode first season for summer. That’s typically not a good sign. Can the supernatural drama draw enough summertime viewers to score a second season, or will the series slip into obscurity? Will Midnight, Texas be cancelled or renewed for season two? Stay tuned.
Based on the book series of the same name, from True Blood author Charlaine Harris, Midnight, Texas stars François Arnaud, Dylan Bruce, Parisa Fitz-Henley, Arielle Kebbel, Jason Lewis, Peter Mensah, Sarah Ramos, and Yul Vázquez. The NBC TV series plays out in the remote Texas town of Midnight, where nothing is what it seems. There, only outsiders belong, while normality is just plain weird. It is the best haven for people who need to hide from the world at large. The townies come together to form a sort of chosen family. Together they fend off external pressures from nosy police officers, vicious biker gangs, and their own dark pasts.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
9/19 update: You can see the rest of the latest night’s ratings.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.

i didn’t realize this show had already started…but since i discovered it i spent the day catching up….and look forward to more. It has got even the new sci-fi shows beat hands down!!!
My whole family loves this show. Please do no cancel
…but now, because I like it, chances are it won’t be renewed. Hope it does.
I enjoy the show, hope it comes back for another season or more!!!
I normally do not watch these kind of shows but i love this show. It keeps me on the edge of my seat. It’s different and it’s exciting. I hope they renew it for another season
My husband and I love this show! It is so much more fun than yet another zombie gore-fest. This is for the rest of us. Please bring it back!
Hey I really enjoy this show. Its fun! I think it has the potential to become another ‘supernatural’ or ‘walking dead’. Please stick with it. You may be surprised at the following it will acquire over time!
This is a fun, supernatural show that my entire family can watch (kids 16 and 19 really really like it). The premise is unique and the characters remind me of characters in some of my favorite fantasy books. NBC, if you’re reading this, please don’t let it go.
Please don’t cancel this show! For those of us who love the paranormal and the supernatural we don’t have too many good shows to watch anymore. The Originals is one of the good supernatural shows but next season will probably be the last one. This show is full of fresh faces and unique storylines. I am a 48 year old female and I look forward to this show every week. I do not have regular cable so I have to watch it the day after it airs. Give this show a chance! Another show that I thought was prematurely canceled… Read more »
My husband and I really love this show, it’s different and very entertaining. I like the main character he is so cute. I was so excited when I saw the previews for Midnight Texas after being so hurt when the t.v. show Grim ended. Please don’t cancel it, I really like all the different stories and the characters. I work late so I record it or I watch it on on Demand. But I can’t wait to watch the new episode.
