For its first two seasons, NCIS: New Orleans has had the security of airing directly out of flagship NCIS, CBS‘ most watched series. Now, the network is moving the series to 10pm, a timeslot with fewer viewers. Will this move negatively impact the ratings or, could they grow? Could it be cancelled or is it essentially guaranteed to be renewed for a fourth season? Stay tuned.
NCIS: New Orleans revolves around the local field office in New Orleans, investigating criminal cases that affect military personnel. Special Agent Dwayne Pride (Scott Bakula) leads the team. The rest of the cast includes CCH Pounder, Daryl Chill Mitchell, Lucas Black, Rob Kerkovich, Shalita Grant, and Vanessa Ferlito.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
3/23 update: CBS has renewed NCIS: New Orleans for a fourth season for 2017-18. Details here.
5/17 update: You can see the rest of the latest night’s ratings.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
For comparisons: The second season of NCIS: New Orleans averaged a 1.75 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 12.98 million total viewers (live + same day ratings).
Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you still like the NCIS: New Orleans TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for season four on CBS?
I love the show and want it renewed but enough with Hamilton. Bust his butt and move on please.
Love, love, love everything about this show EXCEPT Gregorio. Should have kept Brody. Bring back Brody and lose Gregorio. What is wrong with Gregorio’s mouth?
We love the NCIS NO show and hope it stays around for many more seasons! Great TV!
We Love NCIS;New Orleans. We follow Percy
By all means keep NCIS New Orleans. I will admit that I was a little disappointed when Brody left but I really like Gregorio, no matter what anyone else may say about her.
Like NCIS New Orleans; keep the TV series, but move it to a Wednesday time slot Either 8:00 pm or 9:00 pm. Not on same day as one of the other NCIS series!
I really like NCIS-NO. Scott Bakula is so down to earth and the other characters are like a close knit family. Please do no cancel this great show. It is, by far, better than the LA show.
Love the show I wish you would have some kind of long term romance between the Percy and Lasalle .
Please don’t cancel NCIS New Orleans, it’s one of the best spin- off shows on television! The characters have a great rapport, the actors play off of each other in such way that is so genuine and believable!
Definitely like NCIS: NO. Hope it stays on television. Wish they would stop moving the LA series around.
I’m a big fan off ALL the NCIS, never liked Miami and miss Cyber. As for character for some reason Gregarrio, just don’t like. You are dragging things out, speed it up.
I really like the show. I love the dynamic of the crew and how they are a working moving family, but still have enough secrets to be individual. I especially love when Percy and Lasalle are enter acting. They are funny and very cute together.
I enjoy this show and I hope it is renewed. At first I did not think the character of Gregorio would fit in, but she is growing on me.
I use ro look forward to watching this show but since your new character Tammy Gregorio entered I rarely watch it. Her interaction with the cast does nothing for me. I and several friends would love to see the producers write her off the show!!!!
Please move it to Sunday where it can take phase out like the other shows. As part of
main stream America I wish ever show day did not feel they need a gay storyline.
