Last season, CBS successfully launched another NCIS spin-off, NCIS: New Orleans. It became the season’s third most-watched series on network television. Will viewers continue to tune in this year? Will it be cancelled or renewed for a third season? Stay tuned.
NCIS: New Orleans revolves around the local field office in New Orleans, investigating criminal cases that affect military personnel. Special Agent Dwayne Pride (Scott Bakula) leads the team. The rest of the cast includes Lucas Black, Zoe McLellan, Rob Kerkovich, C. C. H. Pounder, Daryl Mitchell, and Shalita Grant.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
3/25 update: CBS has renewed this series and 10 others for the 2016-17 season. Details here.
5/18 update: You can see the rest of the latest night’s ratings.

For comparisons: The first season of NCIS: New Orleans averaged a 2.08 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 15.26 million total viewers.
Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you like the NCIS: New Orleans TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a third season?
I love all the NCIS shows but I hate when the original characters leave or get replaced.
I loved all the NCIS series. The original series NCIS has a great lead character (Mark Harmon) and the team has genuine chemistry. NCIS Los Angeles, also has a strong leader (Linda Hunt) and the four agents work well together. Even though I watch NCIS, New Orleans, I think the team leader needs to be replaced. The only decent actor on that show is Lucas Black, but I don’t know what they were thinking when they hired Scott Bakula as team leader. He has zero chemistry with the rest of the team, his acting is stiff and awkward. He may… Read more »
I like both NCIS and NCIS: New Orleans because they’re really great episodes for this year. I will still be watching those two shows and it’s fun to watch shows like these
I loved NCIS New Orleans S1. We live outside of the US, and I’ve waited so long for S2 to arrive but I’m terribly dissapointed. I cannot stand Shalita Grant’s voice, very irritating pitch, and her character just doesn’t gel with the rest of the cast. I don’t think I’ll be watching it anymore!
It’s a great show, but we need to see more of their private lives, and Shalita Grant I agree with the other posts just doesn’t cut it. She stands out as the odd one. They could have done without her or someone better.
Too cookie cutter. The NO scenery is not enough to overcome the bad scripts and even worse accents. I like Scott Bakula, but this is not the right vehicle for him.
I like ncis new Orleans, but I’m not liking Shalita Grants character at all. I’m not sure why they brought her in, except it’s another McGee,/,probie type situation like on NCIS…and it doesn’t work AT ALL! She doesn’t gell with rest of cast…its off and frankly, they are making her rude and not pleasant to watch. I get women need to be strong in the military/police etc..but you don’t need to be a witch… Ziva was strong, but she had wit and was funny w/the American idioms. NCIS NO has become a show where i don’t care if I miss… Read more »
Not yet seen series 2 in the UK and there is currently no know date for it to commence. Enjoyed the first series and hope we get to see the second sometime this year. However there is no guarantee that will occur. Same with CSI Cyber.
Do not like Shalita Grant…poor acting, self-important body language, and the drawn-on-with-a-Sharpie eyebrows….UGH.
