Party of Five was a big hit nearly 20 years ago, and one star of the series took a look back and spoke about one of the most emotional times on the series. Scott Wolf shared his thoughts on the intervention his family had for his character.
Per TV Line, Wolf revealed that it was Claudia’s plea during the intervention still makes him emotional 20 years later. He said the following about the FOX series:
“That was like the exposed heart of our entire show: this family, stripped away to the brother who was the caretaker and the one who tried to hold it all together, and the youngest daughter [for whom] he was holding it all together.” Nothing could have demonstrated the power of addiction [more] than Bailey turning and walking away from Claudia and deciding, ‘I’d rather have a drink than have her wanting to be with me.’ It was a devastating moment for all of us. Shooting that scene was heartbreaking. Everyone on set was just a mess.”
Were you a fan of Party of Five? Do you remember the emotional episode? Tell us what you think.
It was one of my favorite shows. That episode was way too close to my heart. At the time it was my god father/favorite uncle. Thankfully 7 years ago he became clean and is doing great. Back then my brother was just starting in the world of drug addiction and is still fighting it everyday. Hopefully this rehab he gets it and stays clean of drugs and alcohol but I don’t get my hopes up to high anymore. Addition is a heartbreaking disorder that affects everyone in the addicts life.
Omg yes I cryed like a baby. I know that feeling of bailey and thank god I finally seem the light. The was too close to home made you want to reach through the tv and just shake him till he got it. I soooo wish the show would come back
Yes. It was one of the best shows on television. I never missed an episode. It dealt with so many important topics and emotions. The acting was phenomenal and the characters were flawed and the storylines were realistic. I wish FOX would air it for a nostalgia segment/series.
Great idea. Not all of us have Hulu
