TV show description:
From creator David Elliot, who executive produces with Danny Strong and showrunner Adam Armus, the Proven Innocent TV show is a legal drama that centers on Madeline Scott (Lefevre), a resolute attorney on a lifelong quest for justice. When she was just 18, Madeline was wrongfully convicted of murder, along with her brother, Levi (Smith).
Today, no one knows better than Madeline how essential to justice is to set free innocent people. To that end, she and her partner, Easy Boudreau (Hornsby), lead an underdog defense team, dedicated to overturning unjust convictions.
Madeline’s bond with Easy runs deep. He helped her attain her freedom after she served 10 years in prison. Rounding out their team are investigator Bodie Quick (Kartheiser) and communications director Violet Price (James), who produces a true-crime podcast based on their investigations.
While Madeline’s mission is a noble one, her hard-hitting approach is not without its detractors. The most prominent of these is Gore Bellows (Grammer), the prosecutor who oversaw Madeline’s conviction and is still convinced of her guilt.
Although Bellows is determined to return Madeline to prison, she continues her fight to free the innocent and search for the real killer in her own case.
Series Finale:
Episode #13 — In Defense of Madeline Scott, Part 2
With Madeline’s freedom at stake, Easy’s defense hits a bump in the road. The team must band together to focus on solving Rosemary’s murder once and for all before time runs out. Meanwhile, as Bellows closes in, new evidence and old enemies come into play.
First aired: May 10, 2019.
What do you think? Do you like the Proven Innocent TV series? Should this FOX TV show have been cancelled or renewed for a second season?
Love it!
Love this show but don’t need the Madeline love story. Focus on show theme instead. Great show to watch with teens and discuss issues. Excellent writing!
I so agree, love the show, but getting tired that too many TV shows feel the need to include some type of storyline with gays, transgender, etc. I want to enjoy the drama storyline of helping to correct injustice without side trips into social issues unnecessary to the main storyline. Injustice is rampant, that needs to be the focus without distractions of social issues not related to the story.
So, you don’t think there’s injustice against gay and transgender people? Transgender people have been banned from the military even though all research and the United States military leaders have said there’s no good reason to do so. People like Graham and Huckabee pronounce that gay people (taxpaying United States citizens!) are evil and the biggest threat to our nation. In many states, you can be fired or evicted for just being gay or transgender. Of the 1.6 million youths who are homeless in this country, as much as 40% of them are lgbt. What’s your definition of injustice?
Good show. Do not cancel.
The producers certainly were inspired by a similar legal drama called Conviction, also dealing with convicted criminals that were in fact innocent of the crime, but after its premature cancellation, also in my opinion a mistake, we maybe get a chance to get it right and allow Proven Innocent to rise and grow beyond our expectations, renewing it makes perfect sense, of course. Kelsey Grammer makes a wonderful addition to the cast, the rest of them may be newcomers, but who’s to say that they can’t act? Personally I see a potential in this show and more horizons opened, not… Read more »
My wife and I like the show. We would like to see it renewed. However, we would also like to see the relationship between Madeline and her girlfriend dialed back. The lesbian relationship doesn’t really add anything to the story.
I disagree J and R Ondler. It shows what happens to people when they are incarcerated and need someone to love and be loved. Just be glad it hasn’t happened to you IRL.
Great show please don’t cancel especially ren and maddie
I really enjoy the series. I do hope it will be renewed. There is too much that needs to be settled to end the show now.
Either dump it or hire a technical advisor. Tonight’s episode repeatedly referred to a man wearing the uniform of a Lieutenant, Junior Grade as Lieutenant Commander. Later in the show, a man wearing the uniform of a Navy Captain was addressed as a Chief Petty Officer. As a Navy veteran, the daughter of a Navy veteran, and the widow of a Navy veteran, I find these easily prevented errors inexcusable.
What show we’re you watching?
Love the show but will stop watching it if you keep showing her kissing/making out with her ex cell friend.
Love the show and do not want the drama cancelled. Great characters play perfect roles in the show. Court room drama is very real!
Proven Innocent is my new favorite drama.
Please do not cancel this show.
I really like this show. Especially the last one. It shows that it is real. That had someone that they felt was innocent and found out was not. I like how they handled it. Hope that somewhere down the road those 2 mess up and the show showcases it. Keep it coming!! Please don’t cancel!
I really enjoy watching the show! Set to record every week… I think it’s interesting to show how her and Levi handled post prison…. she came out with a mission and he came out with all the anger issues. I like that it’s a detective and lawyer show both and takes time to show human said of the cast also. The fact Maddie has a lesbian lover shouldn’t be a surprise after 10 years in prison when she went in so young. It’s good to see she still cares after all these years so it must have been special!!
Love the show , but getting a little tired of her and her ex cell mate kissing. And too much drama , just work on the cases .
Boring…
Love the show dont cancel great storylines
