The Purge is coming to the small screen. Deadline reports a TV series based on the film franchise is coming to USA Network and Syfy.
The horror films are set in a dystopian version of America where each year, for a 12-hour window, all crime is legal. So far, three movies have be released in the franchise — The Purge (2013), The Purge: Anarchy (2014), and The Purge: Election Year (2016).
The Purge series adaptation comes from the films’ production company, Blumhouse, and Universal Cable Production. No word yet on when the show will premiere on USA Network and Syfy.
What do you think? Are you a fan of the Purge movies? Will you watch the TV show?
What haven’t they had enough of Middle School logic? OOOOOOOH evil rich, cry cry cry, boo hoo. They lack even the hint of trying to be subtle, use middle school boy logic, fail to understand even basic economics and humanity and are completely clueless to the fact that THEY are the rich white guys. An hour of leftwing nonsense preaching at me while they hoard their millions? No thanks.
The producers said the show is basically a prequel to the movie series, detailing the events that led to the implementation of the purge.
How would that work. Would each episode take place every year
