School’s out forever. The Quad TV show had been cancelled after its second season on BET. The news that there will be no third season comes six days after the April 3rd season two finale, “#TheColorPurple,” which will now serve as The Quad TV series finale.
A BET college drama, The Quad stars Anika Noni Rose, Jake Allyn, Sean Blakemore, Aeja Lee, Ruben Santiago-Hudson, Jazz Raycole, Zoe Renee, Peyton ‘Alex’ Smith, Michelle DeFraites, Kevin Savage, Tyshon Freeman, RonReaco Lee, Debbi Morgan, Sheryl Lee Ralph, and Jasmine Guy. The story unfolds at Georgia A&M University, one of the nation’s most prestigious HBCUs (Historically Black Colleges and Universities). As college president, Dr. Eva Fletcher (Rose) has to balance her personal life with her career and the needs of the institution and her students.
The Quad: A Look at the Ratings
The second season of The Quad averaged a 0.22 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 553,000 viewers. Compared to season one, that’s down by 28% and 31%, respectively. For comparisons, check out the ratings of other scripted BET TV shows.
The cancellation comes after a string of executive shakeups at the Viacom-owned cabler. In December, Scott M. Mills was tapped to serve as the new president BET, with Debra Lee staying on as chairman and CEO. Prior to that, several top BET programming executives exited the company last March.

I absolutely LOVED The Quad! Please bring it back for a final season. Too many loose ends need to be tied up. We, the fans, need closure. Don’t leave us hanging BET!!

This literally stated how its like going to an hbcu in a sense so for it to be canceled suckes‼️ This show needs to stay and they need to use advertising differently because its a good show forreal!!!!!!
I was really expecting a season 3. I believe if the show is advertised right that ratings would no doubt increase. Please reconsider renewing the show if only to give it a proper funale.

Terrible for cancelling the show from where it was at, I looked foward to watching The Quad when at college, especially when there are stuff being played that aren’t even that good. All the good shows are cancelled, BET should just cancel itself.
I was saddened by the news that there is no season 3 of the quad. This was one of the best series I’ve watched. So much more was anticipated in the tv drama. This script was well written & well directed. The storyline was on point. I believe that so much could done with season 3 providing the way season 2 ended. There were so much more to be unfold i was devastated

I really hate that the show was cancelled. I looked forward to watching “THE QUAD” every week. I was really looking forward to season three to see what happened. Now I’m left in suspense never knowing what will happen. I shouldn’t be surprised about the cancellation because BET always does this with good shows and keep the mess on. I guess I was hoping that they would let this one move forward. A whole mess.

I’m agreeing with you at this point about BET! It’s almost like were left hanging. Not a proper finale.
Right what happened to Cedric and his baby mother ? Did she even have the baby ? what happened to Sydney and her moms side piece ? Will Sydney choose to still be with him or keep her phenomenal relationship with her mom? what happened to the school after it went into flames ? what happened to the coach and his family ? What happened to Noni ? Will she continue to play both sides? It’s too many questions left unanswered to just let the show go like that !
This was a really good show. My husband and I really enjoyed watching it. I was shocked to hear BET cancel it.
