Ray Donovan just wrapped its seventh season, but will there be an eighth? Recently, star Liev Schreiber and Showtime chief Gary Levine discussed the future of the TV show, Deadline reports.
The drama series stars Schreiber as the titular Ray Donovan, a professional fixer who’s working to be the man his family needs him to be. The cast also includes Alan Alda, Zach Grenier, Jon Voight, Dash Mihok, Eddie Marsan, Pooch Hall, Kerris Dorsey, and Graham Rogers.
During this year’s winter TCA press conference, Showtime boss Gary Levine suggested Ray Donovan is “nearing the end of its run”:
I think Ray Donovan is nearing the end of its run. We always talked about seven or eight seasons. Nothing has been decided yet but it’s fair to say it is nearing the end.”
Meanwhile, Liev Schreiber is hoping for an eighth season. On his Instagram, the star urged fans to reach out to Showtime to renew the series:
What do you think? Do you watch Ray Donovan? Do you want an eighth season?
Are you kidding me? Please please give us more seasons of Ray Donovan. Love love love it!
Love Ray Donavan! Shame on Showtime for not giving it a proper farewell.
