ABC’s Roseanne reboot is a hit, so what’s next? Recently, network chief Channing Dungey discussed season 11 plans for the TV show, Variety reports.
As reported earlier, ABC has renewed the revived sitcom for an 11th season. The cast includes Roseanne Barr, John Goodman, Sara Gilbert, Laurie Metcalf, Michael Fishman, Alicia Goranson, Sarah Chalke, Emma Kenney, Ames McNamara, and Jayden Rey.
During a recent interview, Dungey revealed the next season of Roseanne will focus less on politics. The ABC TV show’s conservative bent has been a point of controversy for the reboot:
I think that they’re going to stay on the path that they were on toward the end of last season, which is away from politics and toward family.”
Additionally, it’s been revealed that season 11 of Roseanne will have 13 episodes at least, which is four more than season 10’s nine.
What do you think? Are you watching Roseanne? Will you watch season 11?
Please don’t dumb down the show for any PC reasons.
Just let it flow based upon what it in the writers minds.
The show was bad it’s last season. This reboot isn’t any better. But we have a different “Merika since Trump was elected, so it is popular…for now. I suspect it’s ratings will continue to decrease next year and get cancelled once again.
Gee…I don’t know why ABC is accused of being anti-conservative? ABC President: We want the viewers…just quash what they are interested in. #massiveeyeroll
There’s no such thing as too much “Roseanne”, I am happy that their will be more episodes.
