CBS RENEWS SUMMER THRILLER “SALVATION” FOR SEASON TWO
STUDIO CITY, Calif. – Oct. 18, 2017 – CBS today announced the second season renewal of the suspense thriller SALVATION for broadcast during summer 2018. Season two of the serialized drama received a 13-episode order.
SALVATION centers on Liam Cole, an MIT grad student, and Darius Tanz, a tech superstar, who bring Pentagon official Grace Barrows a staggering discovery – that an asteroid is just months away from colliding with Earth. Now with the added threat of nuclear war on the horizon, they work together with Secretary of Defense Harris Edwards to find a way to divert the asteroid, stop the war and save humanity before time runs out.
The series stars Santiago Cabrera, Jennifer Finnigan, Charlie Rowe, Jacqueline Byers, Rachel Drance and Ian Anthony Dale. Liz Kruger, Craig Shapiro, Alex Kurtzman, Heather Kadin, Stuart Gillard and Peter Lenkov are executive producers for CBS Television Studios in association with Secret Hideout.
The fate of CBS’ other summer drama, Zoo, is still up in the air.

I am psyched about the renewal of Salvation. It will be interesting where they go with it and hopefully increase the ratings. This is coming from a 61 year old person not in the 18 t0 49 year old range!!!
Thank God Salvation is being renewed! I LOVE this show! I can’t wait until Darius and Grace Barrows finally make it official and make love and date or even get married? ! I can’t wait to see how they are going to stop/handle the impending war with Russia and the hacker group Resist. What an exciting show! Non stop action and intrigue! Please don’t ever cancel this show! Sexy and excellent acting by the actors & actresses! Especially the main characters! !!
I haven’t watched a television series since the Sopranos. Was intrigued from the start and was really hoping that it would have a run of more than just 13 episodes for one season. Very glad that’s going to be the case.
It had to renew, it ended on a cliffhanger. It was hooked from the start. So happy it did.
I enjoy this show. It’s one of the few good ones on TV. Glad it’s been renewed! Can’t wait for season 2. Hopefully better ratings too!!
