CBS has cancelled its Scorpion TV show after four seasons. The season, which began with a musical episode, weill be this series’ swan song.
A CBS action drama, Scorpion stars Elyes Gabel, Katharine McPhee, Eddie Kay Thomas, Jadyn Wong, Ari Stidham, Robert Patrick, Riley B. Smith, Andy Buckley, Jamie McShane, Joshua Leonard, Dan Dratch, and Scott Porter. Inspired by a real-life computer expert, the series centers on Walter O’Brien (Gabel) and his team of brilliant misfits. Team Scorpion is the country’s last line of defense against lurking high-tech threats.
Scorpion: A Look at the Ratings
The fourth season of Scorpion is averaging a 0.81 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 5.26 million viewers. Compared to season three, that’s down by about 32% and down by 27%, respectively. By both measures, Scorpion is consistently among the lowest rated scripted CBS TV shows.
All told, today CBS cancelled two TV shows: Superior Donuts and Scorpion. The network also renewed five series: Criminal Minds (season 14); Man With a Plan (season three); Life in Pieces (season four); Instinct (season two); and Big Brother: Celebrity Edition (season two).
UPDATE: CBS has cancelled Kevin Can Wait and has renewed Elementary for season seven.
Deadline has confirmed the Scorpion cancellation.

I am so frustrated this show is so amazing with bringing the truth out in the open. I can’t believe you’re cancelling this awesome show there’s so much goodness that comes out of this show every week. I feel that the show ended too soon. We wanted to know what was going to happen between Paige and Walter. You snatched possibilities away from us. Now we will never know. I’m so disappointed. I watched it every Sunday, on the CBS App while cooking.
I am so very disappointed they are canceling scorpion it is one of the better programs on the air someone else made a remark about keeping violent shows it’s true the show had none of that the characters were interesting and they should’ve given it one year to wrap it up very very disappointing.

I agree 100% it seems all they have are cop shows and violence at least this showed how intelligent people get things done, but if it doesn’t come back I agree with Mr Sam Grady I will say goodbye to all shows on CBS Dorothea Gilmore
I am so disappointed!!!! I loved this show!!! It needs to be finished and not left the way it was. It definitely beat some of the other trash that is on TV nowadays. Bring it back!!!!!
I’m so sorry to hear that Scorpion has been cancelled. I haven’t missed an episode. Love the joking and the antics.
Please, I’m begging you guys.. please give us 5th season. If u can’t give all 24 episodes its ok. But at least end the show by using 8 or 10 episodes like prison break..

I have lost some of my faith in CBS, which upto now was the network I trusted the most to watch.
I think it’s a huge mistake cancelling Scorpion. I’ve been following this and now it gets stopped. why cut this story and all the awesome things they do on here. I don’t think that was too smart
I think cancelling Scorpion without tying up the loose ending faithful followers were
left with in the season finale is totally wrong. The same thing was done with “Kevin (probably) Saves the World”. This type of handling shows is disrespectful of fans. I will be less likely to be a loyal viewer of shows offered by the CBS network in the future.
At least another season to round out the series!!! It was definitely left unfinished!!! Paige & Walter need to be back together and show the other characters full filling their dreams too!!!
I am sorry to see the the show leave. All good actors. I loved the adventure, the new in love couple and the newly married couple. They were a family.
