What’s This TV Show About?
An animated satirical comedy series, airing on the FOX television network, The Simpsons centers on the dysfunctional Simpson family, as well as their neighbors and friends, and life in the fictional town of Springfield. A safety inspector at the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant, the buffoonish Homer (Dan Castellaneta) is married to Marge (Julie Kavner), a sweet, if typical housewife. Together, they have three children. At ten years of age, their son Bart (Nancy Cartwright) is a consummate troublemaker. The middle child, eight-year-old Lisa (Yeardly Smith), is precocious, charismatic, and a bit geeky. Baby Maggie may not talk yet, but she manages to express herself with her wide eyes and by sucking on her pacifier. The family dog, Santa’s Little Helper, and cat, Snowball II, round out the household. The voice cast also includes Harry Shearer, Hank Azaria, Pamela Hayden, and Tress MacNeille.

Telly’s Take
The Simpsons is any television vulture’s nemesis. Season by season, decade by decade, it mocks me with its vigor and longevity. Already renewed through season 30, The Simpsons shows no signs of slowing down — though a bird of prey can dream. Barring a sharp drop in the ratings, right now, its seems as though The Simpsons will continue as long as the creative team is up to the challenge, or until some unforeseen new show knocks it off its all too solid pedestal. D’oh.

What do you think? Are you still watching The Simpsons TV show on FOX? Do you think it should be cancelled after season 30, or continue long beyond?
It lost it touch in comedy if I were watch reruns new ones are terrible comedy show early were best back then not same anymore.
The Simpsons should have been cancelled around 2000. They took one of the funniest, smartest shows in tv history and utterly ruined its legacy. Now there are more bad Simpsons episodes than good ones in circulation. Its ratings are low by other networks’ standards. Fox sucks.
If any show should be cancelled it should be The Simpsons! Renewed through 30 seasons??!! Come on, if the writers can be creative for that long then why not put it towards better network shows or something to kick these stupid reality shows to the curb. The Simpsons should retire at 30 with the final ep. being their second & last movie!
