The Siren TV series has been sunk by Freeform. The cable channel has cancelled the mermaid drama series so, there won’t be a fourth season.
Siren stars Eline Powell, Alex Roe, Fola Evans-Akingbola, Ian Verdun and Rena Owen. The TV show is set in the small fishing village of Bristol Cove which is known for its legend of once being home to mermaids. When the legend proves to be true, the battle between man and sea takes a very vicious turn as these predatory beings return to reclaim their right to the ocean. In season three, Ben’s shocking decision to let the reporter die has ripple effects in his relationship with Maddie and Ryn. Meanwhile, a dangerous, sophisticated new mermaid arrives in Bristol Cove, challenging Ryn’s leadership and igniting an epic undersea battle between rival tribes. All of this is complicated by the fact that Ryn’s baby, now being carried by a surrogate, must be protected at all costs.
The third season of Siren averaged a 0.11 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 408,000 viewers. Compared to season two, that’s down by 26% in the demo and down by 14% in viewership.
While the show’s ratings have dropped quite a bit since the first season, Siren has remained one of Freeform’s highest-rated series. The de facto series finale, titled “The Toll of the Sea”, aired May 28th.

Please, please please Netflix, Hulu or Amazon take over this series that Freeform started then left us all hanging! W/ one of your names alone owning it… you WILL get the viewers!!! I personally go out of my way to watch originals from you all… I’m sure others do too! We’ve been let down like this more often then not by the regular networks that people like me have come to rely on your original series, please take Siren! Clean up any mess you feel freeform created and bring this great idea of a series back to life!!!!

I honestly can’t believe they canceled this show. They leave us with so many unanswered questions and heartbreak. Networks don’t seem to care about the fan base this show has. I wish they would reconsider their decision or maybe someone else would save it like Netflix like they have before.
I’m so sad it was canceled!!! Especially after that battle and the huge cliff hanger. I hope they rethink this horrible decision.
I hate that it was canceled. Totally left us hanging with what happened with Ben although I think we did see him floating there in the water at the end moving so still alive so hopefully he would have come back if they’re going to another season. Damn it.
I just started watching this show on Hulu and fell inlove with it! I hate to see it go and would be more then happy to see it come back I really was looking forward to season 4+++! This is the first show I ever checked to see when the next season was coming! That’s how much I loved the show!

Freeform, those that watched Siren, you left us all wondering what was going to happen. There was a dramatic end to season 3 with nothing to look forward to to find out what happened. If anything I believe for the fans of the show there should have been that last season to tie things up. Please at least think about doing that not only for those that watch but possible start of others watching. Thank you
From what I know they thought they were going to have a fourth season. If you really search for this it looked like they were going to bring it back in November of 2021 but then all of a sudden they canceled it the whole way in August of 2020 so don’t know what happened there but it sucks.
I’m getting pretty annoyed with Freeform. They tend to cancel many interesting shows after a season or two. I’m still annoyed that the canceled Beyond.
I was so in love with Siren it had my attention from start to finish! You made a mistake when you cancelled this show! Why is it when I get into a show it’s always cancelled it almost doesn’t make it worth watching anything anymore! You always cancel the good shows! I’m mad
I am sooooooo upset. I’m obsessed with this show and want season 4 ++++++ more to binge watch for the rest of my life! Bring it back!!!!
