The Siren TV series has been sunk by Freeform. The cable channel has cancelled the mermaid drama series so, there won’t be a fourth season.
Siren stars Eline Powell, Alex Roe, Fola Evans-Akingbola, Ian Verdun and Rena Owen. The TV show is set in the small fishing village of Bristol Cove which is known for its legend of once being home to mermaids. When the legend proves to be true, the battle between man and sea takes a very vicious turn as these predatory beings return to reclaim their right to the ocean. In season three, Ben’s shocking decision to let the reporter die has ripple effects in his relationship with Maddie and Ryn. Meanwhile, a dangerous, sophisticated new mermaid arrives in Bristol Cove, challenging Ryn’s leadership and igniting an epic undersea battle between rival tribes. All of this is complicated by the fact that Ryn’s baby, now being carried by a surrogate, must be protected at all costs.
The third season of Siren averaged a 0.11 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 408,000 viewers. Compared to season two, that’s down by 26% in the demo and down by 14% in viewership.
While the show’s ratings have dropped quite a bit since the first season, Siren has remained one of Freeform’s highest-rated series. The de facto series finale, titled “The Toll of the Sea”, aired May 28th.

This is terrible news. I love this show and it’s the best show on freeform. So disappointed and sad. We’ll just never know what happened to Ben I guess. With the lack of new pilots this year with covid I would think they would keep the strong shows when stellar actors.
I love siren and devastated that there will be no more I was really hoping for another season were ben comes back as a mer-man the show has me hooked its so addictive and can’t believe it has dropped viewers x
So, i have watched siren since day 1 and it saddens me that they decided to drop a successful show because voews dropped in the midst of a pandemic and chaos. Dumbest decisions i have seen a televisiom company make
I think it SUCKS that Siren has been canceled. Freeform looses a little bit of money and takes off air one of the few series left to watch that is awesome!!! FREEFORM you suck!!!
I absolutely can’t stand when they just drop shows. This is why I rarely will watch a show when it first airs I usually wait and watch after it ends on Netflix or some other platform. That being said if they insist on cancelling shows please at least give us closure. Have a 2 hour made for TV movie and end the story line. I really enjoyed this show and am sad to see it go.
I understand what your saying, and am not saying your wrong but when mass majorities of people wait for shows to be on Netflix or hulu then the networks they really come from dont see the results they wanted and thats how shows get canceled. They dont care how many people are watching on streaming platforms, they care about whos tuning into the original airings of the show.
Actually according to the Wall Street Journal Nielsen started tracking ratings on streaming platforms in the winter of 2014. It started to provide ratings as well as age and gender to Networks so they knew how well a show is doing as well as giving them info they need to negotiate. I LOVED this series. I am very disappointed the decent shows get dropped and the crappy shows continue.
I really enjoyed this show and will miss it not coming to a logical closure. Perhaps if FF and other channels would stop ******** around with shows by moving time slots and season start dates. FF has really gone downhill, but Siren was one of its few saving graces. Guess I have no reason to continue watching FF.

What are you thinking! One of the most interesting shows ever. Not just that you left the end hanging i am highly disappointed with freeform! I hope someone picks it up with the same characters. Again shame on you Freeform, you always take shows off and never finish them. I would have watched Siren then shadowhunters or any other boring TV shows you have. Freeform always cancels show and put even more boring ones on. At the least you could have done was one more season to give it closher
Are you serious. I’m hooked on siren don’t for this to me. I love Ryn and now I will never know what happened to Ben. And will he cone back to Ryn, and did he became a merman you guys mess me up. I got hooked on the series and now you cancelled it. Wow
