The beat won’t go on for one FOX series. The network has cancelled their Star TV show so it won’t be back for a fourth season.
A music industry drama, Star’s cast includes Queen Latifah, Brandy Norwood, Jude Demorest, Ryan Destiny, Brittany O’Grady, Amiyah Scott, Quincy Brown, Miss Lawrence, Luke James, Lance Gross, Luke James, Matthew Noszka, and William Levy. The series, set in Atlanta, follows the story of three talented young female singers and their rise to fame. The third season picks up three months after the conclusion of season two as Star (Demorest) returns home and the fates of Alex (Destiny) and Simone (O’Grady) are revealed.
The third season of Star on FOX is averaging a 1.08 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 3.58 million viewers. Compared to season two, that’s down by 18% in the demo and down by 13% in viewership. While it’s not one of FOX’s top-rated programs, the series continues to rank in the network’s top 10 series.

This is soooo not right! How could they leave the viewers in total disarray…so many unanswered questions?? Where’s the baby? Who survived the shootings? What happened to Jaxson? Really FOX!!
This is life altering. I love Star. There has not been a show this good since living single.

Really bummed out about this. Seriously?! At least end the show with some closure. I watched all 3 seasons religiously and this makes me very sad.
I am totally disappointed that Star was not renewed. I hope that Fox reconsider or Star goes to another network.

I’m very disappointed there will not be a 4th season. It ends with way too many questions and I need answers. This is my absolute favorite show FOX has ever produced.
How does it just end like that where the baby is gone and the wedding gets shot up?! WORST DECISION MAKING EVER FOX…smh

I am very very disappointed that there will not be a season 4. This is the worst cliffhanger and makes us want to keep watching. You can’t just leave us hanging, you should at least give us one more season and end it with a happy note. Because now you have upset and emotional fans. The ending was too tragic to end the show and so many questions left behind.
At least one more season! The way everything was left was a lead in to the next season. If they were planning on cancelling, they should have just added an extra hour to finish and close out all the cliffhangers! It was a great show! But….guess we’re left with our own guesses!
Should at least finish the story line. Not the way to leave fans hanging.
This was a great show and I am very picky with what I watch. Fox is crazy to have cancelled the show. There wasn’t even a proper ending
