To Disney-ABC, it seems ending is better than mending. Freeform has cancelled its Stitchers TV show after three seasons. Since there will be no fourth season, Stitchers, episode 3.10, “Maternis,” will serve as both the season three finale and the TV series finale.
Airing on the Freeform cable channel, Stitchers stars Emma Ishta as Kirsten Clark; Kyle Harris as Cameron Goodkin; Ritesh Rajan as Linus Ahluwalia; Salli Richardson-Whitfield as Maggie Baptiste; Allison Scagliotti as Camille Engelson; and Damon Dayoub as Detective Quincy Fisher.
A sci-fi crime drama, Stitchers centers on Kirsten Clark (Ishta), a Caltech grad student who is recruited into a covert government agency to be “stitched” into the minds of the recently deceased. Using memories of the dead, Kirsten is able to help investigate murders and decipher mysteries that otherwise would have gone to the grave.
Stitchers: A Look at the Ratings
The third season of Stitchers averaged a 0.13 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 365,000 viewers. Compared to the already low-rated season two, it was down by 14% and down by 6%, respectively. Among the 10 Freeform TV shows we’re tracking, the third season of Stitchers ranked seventh in terms of total audience size, and dead last, where its demo ratings are concerned.
Deadline has confirmed that Stitchers has been cancelled after three seasons on Freeform.

I can’t believe this. I love this show & everytime something gets a little low ratings they cancel it without giving it a chance or give the true fans closure. There’s not to many decent shows that keep u wanting to see more. So very sad & upsetting to see this happen. I wish someone would give them a chance on another station or even Netflix.
I am so disappointed. I was really looking forward to watching a season 4 and more. One reason I bought my Hulu system was to get awesome programs like Stitchers to watch! I think there was a lot more to this program for us to follow. I hope FreeForm will reconsider and bring back at least a Season 4.
They should at least bring it back for a season to finish up or do a tv movie. I hate it when shows get cancelled and leave you hanging.
So sad! How do you end a season like that without having one to back it up?? I need to know why Kirsten faked losing her memory! And how are things going to be different with her mom back in her life??

Omggg! I love Stitchers! I have been binge watching all 3 seasons for the last several days. I loved it so much i couldn’t stop watching. Please bring it back for more seasons! You can’t end it like this. I need to know why Kirsten is lying to Cameron and faking her memory loss. If Linus and Ivy are going to work out. If now that Kirtens mom is back what will change. I don’t watch much television because there is so much garbage out there. When I go looking for something to watch, typically it’s something like stitchers. It’s already a few seasons in and being cancelled. I’ve found many shows that I didn’t know existed, that were cancelled years ago.
Shows I’ve found that are gone, unfortunately; Caprica, Fire Fly, Alphas, SG-U Stargate Universe. That’s all I can think of right now.
Strikers may not have been the best, but I liked it.
Please explain why another great program is being cancelled! It maybe the lowest ranking rated program out of only Severn, but I’d like to know the others and their figures. And why only that age group ? Do they think us older guys don’t watch this kind of programs ? It’s certainly better than reality tv. Bring Stitchers Back.
Season one was fresh and enjoyable. Season two started off ok, but as they tried to develop the characters they became less believable and the storyline started to become very predictable. Season three.. well I had to force myself to get through episode one which took a couple of attempts. I fell asleep midway through episodes 2 & 3 and never bothered attempting episode 4. From the start it had a short shelf life and pushing it to series 3 was 1 series too many.
Please bring back Stitchers so we know what happens to Kristen and her mother.
How sad. This show made one think. I would liked to have learned if our girl ever found her mom and in what state. A quirky group I liked watching.
Might want to check where you left off…or perhaps not. Season 3 will enlighten you, but then no season 4. So, watch it then you can join the rest of us being “really really truly unhappy & cranky & grrrrrr” (my polite way to put it) that it’s been canceled.
I didn’t even know this channel existed or this show was on the air. If you’re not going to promote series and let people know about it how could the ratings be good! I’m 74 and I love this show! I think people with functioning brains would appreciate this show over reality tv and other insipid entertainment!
Without this show I am deprogramming this network from my scheduling! Next time try rating sampling from real responsible people.
I’m with you Bob G. I’m 75 and I LOVE Stitchers. It has such a unique premise.
The kids may not all be the best actors but they are good and the characters they create are interesting and fun. I am a big fan of Salli Richardson-Whitfield and Allison Scagliotti and try to watch the shows they are on. One more thing – I may be “old” but I’m young at heart. I enjoy many “youth oriented” shows and good SciFi. I hope the Powers That Be change their minds.
I am 66 and loved this show. I loved watching the characters change and grow. With all that’s happening today, this was a welcome respite. Even at my age, I want to believe in a love like Cameron and Kirsten. I think though that when it became more about the shadowy underground conspiracies, it began to lose its charm. If they brought it back and made it about not only solving crime, but watching the characters grow, they could have changed the viewership I think. Please don’t cancel this show. You guys are getting the information from the wrong group of people. You guys take these good shows and cancel them because of the ratings and replace them with stupid idiotic not making sense all about sex and drugs show. I hope this station doesn’t stay in the air. I can’t believe you guys ruined something really good
