To Disney-ABC, it seems ending is better than mending. Freeform has cancelled its Stitchers TV show after three seasons. Since there will be no fourth season, Stitchers, episode 3.10, “Maternis,” will serve as both the season three finale and the TV series finale.
Airing on the Freeform cable channel, Stitchers stars Emma Ishta as Kirsten Clark; Kyle Harris as Cameron Goodkin; Ritesh Rajan as Linus Ahluwalia; Salli Richardson-Whitfield as Maggie Baptiste; Allison Scagliotti as Camille Engelson; and Damon Dayoub as Detective Quincy Fisher.
A sci-fi crime drama, Stitchers centers on Kirsten Clark (Ishta), a Caltech grad student who is recruited into a covert government agency to be “stitched” into the minds of the recently deceased. Using memories of the dead, Kirsten is able to help investigate murders and decipher mysteries that otherwise would have gone to the grave.
Stitchers: A Look at the Ratings
The third season of Stitchers averaged a 0.13 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 365,000 viewers. Compared to the already low-rated season two, it was down by 14% and down by 6%, respectively. Among the 10 Freeform TV shows we’re tracking, the third season of Stitchers ranked seventh in terms of total audience size, and dead last, where its demo ratings are concerned.
Deadline has confirmed that Stitchers has been cancelled after three seasons on Freeform.

Don’t cancel this show it was a really good show please keep it I know a lot of people that do watch it.
Started watching on demand and now I’m hooked. Good story and would like to see what happens next and see a conclusion on another season. But unfortunately people who work in television don’t care about there work there’s always a crappy show they can replace it with!
Like Alphas, they end a series on a cliffhanger or open ending and then kill the show. Makes me wonder if watching ANY show is worth it until it is complete and then binge it. At least you can determine if it ends properly or not before becoming invested in the show.
Bring the show back. No point for utter shows. Stitchers and shadow hunters are the best shows out there right now.
Funny; I barely watch tv anymore. My sister convinced me to get 30 day Hulu trial to catch up on another show. My husband asked me to cancel the membership once I caught up with the show. As I was about to end my free trial I got a glimpse of Stichers. Watched all 3 seasons and completely hooked. Cannot believe I caught wind of this by mistake and after it was cancelled. I love the show, story line & characters. Guess I have no reason for Hulu membership now.

Discovered show late on Hulu. Really enjoyed. Sorry to hear it’s gone. Maybe Netfix?

Stitchers was, no. is an amazing show. The ratings that were polled must have been from a short time period because the show is very intriguing and able to keep an audience with the shortest attention span on edge. Leaving the last episode of season three as it was without a following season leaves a cliffhanger, and this is no way to end a series. I personally hope that FreeForm changes their mind and brings the series back for a fourth season.
Really a shame. I enjoyed Stichers very much. It’s really a shame not to at least wrap things up for us the loyal ones.
Wow! This is really sad news. I believe the show was good enough to give it a proper series finale. I agree with all those here that have said that, and their reasons that Free-form chose to just end it the way in which they did. I guess I won’t be watching that channel anymore. You never know when they’ll pull the rug out! Stichers was the only show I watched on that channel.
I really enjoyed watching it with my family…Such a shame that it won’t be a season 4…
