It seems the Brothers Winchester will be taking exit 15. Today, Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, and Misha Collins released a video confirming that the 15th season of Supernatural will also be its final outing. That’s right; it’s official. The Supernatural TV show on The CW will end with season 15. Fans who have been with it from the beginning may remember sweating out the “cancellation or renewal” question every spring in the show’s early years and marvel that we’ve come this far in a black 1967 Chevy Impala. A CW paranormal horror drama, season 14 of Supernatural stars Jared Padaldecki as Sam Winchester and Jensen Ackles as Dean Winchester (and sometimes the latest incarnation of the archangel Michael). The cast also includes Misha Collins as Castiel and Alexander Calvert as Jack. This year, guest stars include Jim Beaver, Kim Rhodes, Ruth Connell, Briana Buckmaster, Kathryn Newton, Katherine Ramdeen, Clark Blacko, Yadira Guevara-Prip, Samantha Smith, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Amanda Tapping, Danneel Ackles, and Felicia Day.
Supernatural to End with Season 15
As they talked about approaching the “grande finale,” the “boys,” which was once a more apt term, all agreed to save the emotion for Supernatural‘s 15th and final season on The CW. Ackles made sure to include a tribute to creator Eric Kripke, and the Supernatural family. It’s pretty clear from their video that this was a creative decision, rather than one of network caprice. It’s also nice that they’ll get a final season to end the show on its own terms. Supernatural received an early season 15 renewal on January 15, 2019.
Ackles, Padalecki, and Collins all tweeted out the video to fans, as well. #SPNFamily, indeed.
Supernatural: A Look at the Ratings
The 14th season of Supernatural is averaging a 0.42 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 1.46 million viewers. Compared to season 13, that’s down by 23% and 13%, respectively. Even with that drop Supernatural is still the second highest rated scripted CW TV show. Here’s hoping that it goes out on a high point.

I would watch it as long as it is on the air.I have been watching it since the pilot and still watch the reruns from the beginning seasons. I wished they would go another season of more. I will always be a fan of Supernatural.
I am devastated that the show will be ending. I have watched it all these years and each season was more engaging than the one before. At the beginning of each new season it was like getting together with family. It’s exciting that they will have the opportunity to tie up loose ends and close story lines. I’m grateful for one more season but wish it could be 50, even tho I’d be old and decrepit and might not know what date it was or who was president, you can be t I’d know when Supernatural was on tv. Please continue this show it is one of the best writers, and actors on tv now. these two have
great chemistry and perhaps adding a family unit to help will continue some 2o2o excitement. I am 58 and addicted to these men.
Please please find a way to bring back crowley and the show needs to just go on & on & on& on…Sam, Dean & Castiel rule!!
I love Supernatural, i don’t want it to end. But also i understand from all the actors point of veiw too. Most of them has Family of there on off the set as well and they want to do new things I’m sure with there families. I know i can always watch reruns of the show so ive got that to look forward too. I will struggle through the emotion cause I don’t want to ruin one minute of this last season. Then I will spend forever looking for a comparable show. That doesn’t exist! I will miss them so much
I’m going to miss them, I watched every single show and rewatched them again and again.
This is the only show that I can watch over and over! I am so sad that it’s ending! I kinda wish that a spin-off would come about from it! Or even better, a movie!!

Iv been watching supernatural since day one that and the avengers have been everything now avengers has ended i have supernatural and now this will end im really upset but thanks Sam and Dean for everything !
As a 69 year old male, I appreciate longevity in many things, this show has been a staple for me from the beginning. I have been emotional with these guys and the story-lines and followed every season with much anticipation. This has been and will be one of a rare breed of shows that has garnered my attention over 15 seasons. Not many shows can carry that weight and continue to come back strong every season.
