Red’s time on television is coming to an end. NBC has announced that the upcoming 10th season of The Blacklist will be the drama’s last. The final episodes begin airing on Sunday, February 26th, at 10:00 PM — the show’s latest in a long list of timeslots over a decade. The Blacklist’s 200th episode will air on March 19th.
A crime thriller series, The Blacklist TV show stars James Spader, Diego Klattenhoff, Hisham Tawfiq, Anya Banerjee, and Harry Lennix. The series’ story begins as one of the FBI’s most wanted fugitives, Raymond “Red” Reddington (Spader), offers to help the authorities if a specific rookie agent, Elizabeth Keen (Megan Boone), partners with him. In season 10, Red confronts unparalleled danger. With Reddington’s covert role as an FBI informant facing exposure, former Blacklisters unite against him in their lethal desire for revenge — testing Red and the FBI Task Force as never before.
After 10 years, hundreds of Blacklist cases and more than 200 episodes produced, we’re honored to reach our conclusion,” said showrunner and executive producer John Eisendrath. “It’s been incredibly fun to create the strange, devious and delightful Blacklisters to challenge Raymond Reddington and our FBI Task Force each week. We would like to thank everyone at NBC and Sony, our extraordinary crew who make the impossible happen every day, our endlessly inventive writers and producers, and our remarkable cast who brought life to these characters. We appreciate our dedicated fanbase who came along for this wonderful ride and are excited to share this final season with them.”
“It isn’t often that a series resonates so deeply with an audience that it airs for 10 seasons, but The Blacklist proved to a perfect combination of highly talented producers, stellar writing, a cast that never failed to deliver and a crew that always rose to the occasion,” said Lisa Katz, President, Scripted Content, NBCUniversal Television and Streaming. “A huge thank you to our partners at Sony, everyone from the past decade who made this show an integral part of NBC’s storied history and, of course, a special nod to James Spader, whose performance remains nothing short of spectacular.”
We thank our wonderful partners at NBC for a remarkable 10 seasons of The Blacklist, the series that introduced the world to Raymond Reddington, brilliantly portrayed by James Spader,” said Jason Clodfelter, Co-President, Sony Pictures Television Studios. “James has led a multi-talented and diverse cast that also featured legendary guest stars and hundreds of Blacklisters who made us all root for this anti-hero. We tip our Reddington hat to the dedicated production staff, hard-working crew and talented writers. The unpredictable plot twists have produced a legacy TV show that served to entertain a worldwide audience and as we enter the final season, we can’t wait for audiences to see how Raymond Reddington takes a final bow.”

What do you think? Are you looking forward to watching season 10 of The Blacklist on NBC? Are you disappointed that there won’t be an 11th season?
I have watched every single episode of every season and it never disappointed. I LOVE it. I hate that this will be the last because it is the best. I HATED that Liz died but even the story line after is still great. Looking for the best ending to this.
I have watched this show the since the first time it aired. I have even bought the shows so i can rewatch them over and over. James Spader is an excelent acter. So sorry all good things have to end. Will miss you James.
I have watched this fantastic show for 10 yrs. And never disappointed. I will surely miss The Blacklist
Stopped watching it when prominent female character Mr. Kaplan failed to appear. This is why The Cleaning Lady is such a hit.
I love THE CLEANING LADY, too!
I am sorry the Blacklist will end after season 10. I have watched it since the first episode & I love James Spader. I was very upset when Liz dies but the show was still great. I am a loyal fan & I would love to see this show continue!
Taylor Sheridan should create a show specifically written to display Spaders many talents.
Devastated that it’s ending! But after 10 seasons, I didn’t expect it would go on for too much longer. 10 seasons on TV is a very very long time these days. It lasted as long as it has because it’s a wonderful show.
One of the best shows in recent memory, but it is time to go old friend. The show lost a lot when they killed Liz off. A couple of years from now I will binge the series as I have with Breaking Bad.
Just as I predicted….. with Liz dead and Red having a “terminal illness” the writing was on the wall. Not to mention all the other recent defections from the cast in the last two years. It’s time to wrap it up, but I hope they do it right. Including finally answering “THE question”… and not the way some of the fanfiction promoters think it should be answered, because that would just be ridiculous. Which is why I’m not even actually saying it. They could always throw in some really bizarre twist…. now that New Amsterdam is over, who’s to say… Read more »
The show jumped the shark when Liz died.
Red needs Denny Crane.
Best serie ever .. lets give us the best ending…
Spader at his best
Started on Boston Legal and now James Spader the best actor good think should end look forward to seeing it every week. Never missed any episode of it so glad over,
Everyone should see James Spader in MANNEQUIN! You won’t believe it.
He was also great in the villain roles in all those 80s teen movies like “Pretty in Pink”, “Less Than Zero”, etc.
love watching the Spader!!! I’ll be game to watch whatever he does next
It’s time. But will you please give me a timeline of who is who & how they masked their duplicity & why Red became Red? But it seems like the end should find Red being brought down so the “bad” guy doesn’t win. Did his ends justify the means?
