The race is over for Kevin and his garage team. Netflix has cancelled The Crew so, there won’t be a second season for this multi-camera comedy series.
Created by showrunner Jeff Lowell and directed by Andy Fickman, The Crew stars Kevin James, Jillian Mueller, Freddie Stroma, Gary Anthony Williams, Dan Ahdoot, and Sarah Stiles. In the comedy, crew chief Kevin Gibson (James) runs a NASCAR garage. When the owner steps down and passes the team off to his Stanford-educated daughter, Catherine Spencer (Mueller), Kevin finds himself at odds with the tech-reliant millennials she starts bringing in to modernize the team.
The series launched in February of this year with 10 half-hour episodes. There won’t be a second season for The Crew but Netflix has reportedly made a deal with James to develop a single-camera comedy series that he will star in and produce.
The streaming service has also dropped comedies Bonding, Country Comfort, and Mr. Iglesias.
Loved the Crew was waiting and excited for season 2!!!
Really liked The Crew. Not sure why it was cancelled. Probably so money could be spent on stupid reality series. Bring it back!
I feel like this was an environment where Kevin James could shine. I did not want to see him in a typical home-environment sitcom anymore, where it’s just King of Queens 2.0. Here you would have had an unique scenario you rarely see (the garage) combined with the classic stereotypes a comedy show has. Maybe the casting wasn’t top notch for all involved (you could have had a more convincing “dumber” driver; or the female boss was very hit or miss for my taste), but it was good enough for the first season and could have surely been improved upon… Read more »

I am very sorry the crew has been canceled I really enjoyed that show as well as one day at a time which I haven’t seen any more seasons added to it and I loved Mr. Iglesias so I guess they have canceled three of the shows I enjoyed
Not really a Kevin James fan, but really enjoyed this lighthearted comedy. Surprisingly, I watched all 10 episodes in the same day. Not a fan of a lot of the other series on Netflix.

eh it was alright. the concept was cool and i enjoyed it enought to finish the season but it doesn’t surprise me that it got canceled. it wasn’t a top tier show by any means.
it was something nice to watch without lots of nudity and cussing.
The Crew and Country Comfort was some of the best new stuff to come out in a long time. All these other “new” shows are so far fetched and out there that it is a shame that they “all” survive and yet these two shows that provide relaxing entertainment get canceled.

I think it was better than half the crap on regular television and the reason I an cancelling Netflix. Mr. Iglesias is another that was good with actual clean entertainment and good writing. I hope these shows get picked up like One Day At A Time.

Disagree difference comedy like the king of queen was 23 years ago. Better storyline this Netflix series love it and enjoy it never missed any episodes of it so good hilarious.
