What do you think? Are you interested in true crime? Will you watch The Genetic Detective?
This show was so absolutely boring
Would they be interested in investing the murder of my cousin Carol Ingham. It happened in the early morning of January 1,1976 in Rochester NY. They have never found her killer.
Reach out to Rochester PD and suggest they reach out to Parabon Nano labs in Virginia if they have dna on file. I’m so very sorry for your loss.
I’m wondering WHY this show is not listed on the http://www.imdb.com, web-site ??
I tried searching under show name, I tried under CeCe, and can not find it.
Followup comment to previous post. We just saw a commercial advertising the show will start May 26. Wish everything had reflected that sooner. Looking forward to the show. I saw CeCe at the Arkansas Genealogy session when she came to our State.
DNA Detectives is not on ABC as advertised . So disappointing. We went to the tv week, looked online, and saw the show advertised and marked it on our calendar. Instead The Story of Soaps is shown.
Absolutely!!! I’ve sent this announcement to all of my Genealogy Society Members and many others. Very excited.
Have read articles written by CeCe and can’t wait to learn more about this emerging field of genealogy. I especially like that DNA can be used to solve cold cases, find out the identity of unidentified remains, and especially the returned remains of unidentified MIAs so the military member may be honored by the family and for their sacrifice for our country.
I also hope to use the techniques to help friends find birth parents and other lost relatives as I have had only limited success in the past.
We are looking forward to this show. CC is great at what she does.
Eager to watch this. Last October CeCe Moore was the speaker at the Louisville Genealogical Society. The four presentations were interesting, relevant, and and enIightening on learning about and using genetic matches to assist law enforcement in solving criminal cases.
I will probably watch the first couple of shows to see what it’s like. I’m not really into crime shows and I am worried about the message this could be sending, as far as how DNA testing may be used against people. I want my DNA used for genealogy only.
I am really looking forward to this program!
Yes, I plan to watch as for over 12 years I have been researching grandparents to great grandparents from Poland with no luck so far.
Great! I’ve been looking for a show like this. I love History Detectives on PBS. This should be very good also, and perhaps it will evolve to a genealogy show that has a focus on non-criminal reasons to study DNA genealogy.
I’ve been missing Finding Your Roots and as a mystery fan and family history researcher I’m looking forwrd to The Genetic Detective.
I was excited to hear that CeCe would be hosting a show. But solving crimes wouldn’t interest me. I would be very interested in learning about how to interpret my own dna results and working on my genealogy. Am SO TIRED of Who Do You Think You Are show. It has run its course.
