It appears that this cooking show is done. The Good Dish TV series has been cancelled so, there won’t be a second season — at least in its current form.
Airing in first-run syndication, The Good Dish premiered on January 14th of this year as a replacement to The Dr. Oz Show. The latter series was brought to a close after 13 seasons when host Mehmet Oz announced he would run for a U.S. Senate seat in Pennsylvania.
Hosted by Oz’s daughter Daphne, a natural foods chef, with culinary expert Gail Simmons and chef Jamika Pessoahe, The Good Dish is an expansion of Daphne’s weekly cooking segment on Dr. Oz. The series sought to present easy-to-recreate recipes, simple shortcuts, money-saving tips, must-have trends, and effortless how-tos.
Producer Sony Pictures Television had tried to sell a similar show in syndication in 2019 without success. Reportedly, Sony TV is exploring options to continue The Good Dish via cable or a streaming outlet.

Love, loved, loved the Good Dish. They are insane for canceling the show. One show I enjoyed that did not have to pay extra for in these times of high inflation. Very informative show and made home life and cooking more enjoyable and always learns something new. Need more educational life enhancement TV shows. Lots of women went back to work and did not know about the show. Didn’t give a chance for show to catch on.
You’re cancelling the one TV cooking show that had been the most helpful and informative? I’m sorry but that is crazy. Right from the very first show, I could see that this was one of the best cooking shows yet.
Please focus on health rather than the easy for young families.
WHY WOULD YOU CANCEL A SHOW THAT IS FUN, INFORMATIVE AND BEST OF ALL, NON-POLITCAL??? YOU DID THE SAME THING WITH “THE CHEW”. REALLY DON’T UNDERSTAND YOUR THINKING. YOU KEEP THE VIEW ON WHICH IS A HATEFUL SHOW AND CANCEL SOMETHING REALLY GOOD.
With all the cooking competitions and entertainment about food, none addressed the subjects that were very relatable and useful. I am disappointed and feel that as I was not even aware of this show until March, the network did not do the show justice in exposing it to the general audience. I do hope it returns.

It was a good show. Demonstrates that even a decent show with a following can easily be canceled in today’s fickle & challenging tv market.

Yes, I’d like to see it come back! I wish it won’t be cancelled. It is very entertaining and informative and the girls are great! I am very disappointed! I taped most of the shows of The Good Dish, but they are on my Direct TV DVR. I mistakenly erased the show with Cristin Chenowith. I would like to see a season DVD of all the shows and recipes.

I will really miss The Good Dish!!!! I watch it daily. I watch the Food Channel daily but change the channel when The Good Dish comes on. Please reconsider canceling The Good Dish. I love trying their new ideas for cooking and other ideas they share. This show is as good and better than some of the Food Channel shows. I love those enthusiastic ladies!!!!
I can’t believe it I watch the show every morning I will definitely miss it I hope they come back with it. I love these ladies and the way they express food preparation and taste. They’re awesome
